So, what's a good crit% to switch to fire, as a mage? With enchants/gems/feast I get to 33% buffed. Tried looking at various sites, but haven't really found an answer.
I am 38% without any procs running and pull 27-29k single target (on a good day - RNG is RNG with fire). On fights like Beastmaster (34kish) or Iron Maidens (41k) your numbers are usually a lot higher.

672 item level. 'Casual' Heroic Level guild.

Think I had the most fun this expansion blowing through Firelands for the first time, soloing Ulduar and Icecrown, and then taking my wife through all of these places who hasn't found the time to really raid since SSC/TK/ZA/Kara outside of some Cata LFR.
I haven't had the time since, by the time I've usually finished with the "necessary" stuff of my stable of alts, I need to take a break. But a number of guildmates have been "finishing" the achievements of all the old raids. I always tell myself I should join them, but usually I don't have the time (too much stuff to do outside of the game, actually).

My raging loot whoring is really paying off! Suddenly on top of the meters while we wait for something other than protector tokens to drop, hah. I actually felt a twinge of guilt for replacing a normal set chest with a heroic one.

So I realized that Blast Furnace is fucking Muru 2.0. You either have the dps or you don't, and you can't sacrifice single target output for AOE because phase 2 will punish your anus for it.

I shed a tear when the LFR version had six or so operators running around without a fuck given. C'mon, man.

Out of curiocity, what does 6.1 have in it that's worth a resub? The only stuff I see thats even remotely relevent to a current player is balance changes and catch-up mechanisms for alts.

Nothing really, I just wanted to finish leveling my alliance priest with the heirlooms being pushed up to lvl 100. I guess i'll just stay unsubbed for awhile anyway since theres really not a whole lot that interests me anymore

The "not casual" members of rerolled are dwindling. I've seen Sorrows, Vorph, and Slaythe still playing but not really anyone else

Okay I am getting back into WoW. I think I can actually put some, although limited, time into the game.

After being gone so long, and not really being a raider when I left, how viable is it to have a 10-15 man guild that runs instances/raids 2-3 times a week? I never saw any end game past Lich King, and barely saw THAT much haha.

But I am working with some people I know IRL and seeing if we can make a semi regular group. What sort of makeup class wise? I mean, what classes are the best for what role or does it depend? For example, are warriors the end all be all Tank? Or can a Druid/Pally step in and be effective? Are Priests the end all be all healer, or can the druid or shammy be just as effective?

You seem to have the information of someone from the past haha, but you said that so it's expected.

For raids, no matter the size from 10-man to 30-man you'll need exactly 2 tanks. For a 15-man group it is ideal right now to go 2 tanks, 4 healers, 9 dps - with the expectation that one or two dps have a healing offspec in case you need to switch to 2/5/8.

For tanks everyone can do it. Monks are top dogs right now and Druids are the worst. Warrior, pally, and DK are in the middle with varying checks and balances.

Healers you'll want exactly 1 Disc priest. Every other healer is really good, but most prefer Holy priests, holy paladin, and resto druid. Monks are decent raid healers and shamans are alright.

The real good thing is we have multiple specs now so people can switch out.

We do run a saturday morning raid on Hyjal in the rerolled guild that you are free to join or try out - we also do one or two on Fri/Sat nights depending on attendance for people to catch up in gear.

Cruise through some ranking logs to find out who's doing what. BRM monk nerfs are probably inevitable, disc priest getting 10% bubble nerf, some other shit happening in 6.1

Warcraft Logs - Combat Analysis for Warcraft

Entirely possible to run a 10-15 man normal/heroic guild 2-3 days a week. Normal especially if everyone isn't a shoulder biter. Normal and heroic scale from 10 to 30 and Mythic is 20man only.

Different healers fill difference niches now. Druid and shaman are excellent raid healers. Holy pal and disc priest great tank healers. MW monk is really good at the moment as well, you just never hardly see ANY fucking monks. (Which is why I feel like they're going to let BrM run for a while to try and boost the monk pop. Get them hooked before they pull the rug out from under them)

As far as tanking. BrM monk right now is nuts. War, pal, DK are all roughly around the same level...each have their strengths and weaknesses for different fights. I would say druid is probably last place but just barely.

DPS is also easy to figure out looking at rankings.

It's kind of odd to see those comments because I haven't been this into WoW in a long time. Sure, it's only 9 hours of raiding + some optional runs, so I'm not playing for hours a day every day, but I think the slowed pace is actually good for my long-term enjoyment.

I don't do my entire garrison every day, but the only thing I miss out on is herbs and ore so it's a decent tradeoff. Daily "requirement" is down to: Use tradeskill cooldowns, queue follower missions afternoon and night, done for the day if that's all I want.

Sure, if you aren't raiding or really into PVP, there's less content than MOP. But that's that's almost always been the case. MOP overdid it.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it too, but much like you I enjoy playing less these days. If I could play hardcore, I probably would and I'd probably get burnt out like all the other bros.

I just cruise around on Saturday mornings and have a good time with everyone. Please keep coming Kreugen, we can get you a carseat in the van

I kind of feel bad though because I don't want to take loot from mains and my rogue will just stagnate at his gimpy level. So I may not be much help before long as you guys progress.

If you're coming just take loot, there's one other rogue that comes. That warrior came last week and took the 2H sword I needed, but if it helps us out I don't mind.

I'm pretty much done. The guild I apped to is alright, but I don't think they have 20 mythic-tier players, and I'm losing interest too fast at this point to bother trying to get into one of the three Hyjal guilds who've already cleared heroic and are moving into mythic.

The guild I was playing with last week can't seem to get their heads around the fact that Blast Furnace may look like an AE fest but it's really all about single target focus fire and burst damage. Everyone is talking about the big dick deeps the AE specs are putting out, except ~50% of it is on the targets you don't give a fuck about. While I'm running my single target unholy talents and still coming in 3rd-5th while focusing on the ones that matter.

I can't wait for the Heirlooms. I might actually level up an alt.
I wasn't planning on doing any of the Lunar festival stuff, but I think all my alts will stock up on Coins for the heirloom improves come Wednesday (the EU patch day).

It's really stupid to see Disc Priests nerfs. You might say "Yea they are way out inbalanced with their shields" but you know what? You can pretty much only bring ONE to a raid so that's the drawback of playing a Disc Priest, if you aren't the 'main' Disc Priest you're SoL, go learn Holy.

Blizzard should stop just listening to the QQ "OH NO DISC PRIESTS ARE TOP METERS" and realize the drawback is YOU CAN ONLY BRING ONE; the moment you bring a second their shield efficiency drops in half.

Yes, I'm pissed.

Care to elaborate why you'd run Defile and Plague Leech over Necrotic and UB/PB? Single target with NP+PB isn't anywhere near dogshit, you can afford to drop the necroblight playstyle while dpsing down the elementalists. I don't get that luxury though, I'm always on interrupt duty because I'm "reliable".

Only fights I'm not really putting up competitive numbers on is Iron Maidens and Blackhand, I pulled 22k on our Blackhand kill and 28k on Maidens. Trying to figure out why it's so god damned horrible (besides being terrible, and melee).
