It's not necessarily a faucet or sink, it's just that selling and buying aren't necessarily linked. If the initial price is good and a bunch of people list they may get an inflated selling price compared to the buyer a couple days later who gets a supply heavy price. It could just as easily go the other way though too. If most people ignore the feature the seller could receive less than market value.

The token is soul bound once bought also. It seems like gold goes into a payout pool for shifting prices that Blizzard sets.

Gold farmers will get little or no use out of this.

I was actually having fun since I resubbed and then tonight I got a slap in the face that reminded me one of the reasons I stopped playing so fast after I came back for Cataclysm. 48 minutes in dungeon finder, get my pop, tank healer and a dps all 3 instantly leave the dungeon. Bye bye 48 minutes, oh and then I had a 15 minute dungeon finder penalty afterwards for leaving the instance (after the tank/healer/dps left), so 63 minutes down the drain for absolutely nothing and then I get the honor and privilege of sitting in the fucking dungeon finder for another 48 minutes if I want to hopefully get a dungeon done (which I didn't happen to have another 50 minutes + the dungeon running time after my first hour of wasted time).

You can teleport out of the dungeon and do other things while waiting for the group to refill. Click the eyeball thing on your minimap

It's a faucet.

If the prices drop, that's because the offer exceeds the demand, so your token sits in the AH until it sells at discounted price, hence Blizzard generates the difference. If the prices rise, that's because the demand exceeds offer, and thus your token sells immediately or close before the gold price moves a lot, and so Blizzard doesn't get much difference.

I still think it's a stupid implementation. That's probably linked to the fact that the AH is server-based, and thus liquidity of rare goods is poor, hence the implementation of a separate marketplace (that reuses a bit of the AH UI) that is region-wide for those. But I fail to see why they couldn't have let the standard pricing mechanisms work. Let the market work itself, and take a cut of all transactions (hey! gold sink!).

But no, it's Blizzard.

Have you tried waiting for a group to refill when it's missing the tank and the healer? If it was just one person missing I could see waiting but at least last time I played if you lost both you were in for a long boring wait (healer joins, sees no tank, leaves... tank joins, sees only 2 dps, leaves, rinse repeat X times that you have the patience to sit through (and i've never seen a tank or healer spot get filled quickly, even in the 90-99 dungeons where I was getting 15-25 minute queues instead of 45-65 it still took 5-10 mins to replace a tank).

Maybe it doesn't take that long, who knows. Doesn't really matter anyways I guess since i'm just gonna roll a tank and/or healer once I have enough gold for an heirloom set to level them up with cause 60 minute queues are gay.

Pretty sure it doesn't fill the group till all the spots are queued so this doesn't happen. You could just go work on your normal solo shit then when it fills port back to the dungeon.

Which still leaves me where I said I was originally, waiting on a second long-ass queue to pop after already waiting for one and thus not being able to do a dungeon for the day because a healer/tank decided to troll some randoms =/.

Hmm, should I queue with a tank role? That would be expedient and allow me insta-queues.

No -- fuck that. I'll complain on forums about strangers on the internet disappointing me.

Except you wouldn't have a deserter debuff on top of it all. We are suggesting you save 15 minutes by knowing how to use the system properly.

Also you are flagged as a group missing people and get filled first before solo people queuing.

Yeah, it's much faster having a group refilled than filling one in the first place

Herb Trader in garrison today. Let the drop in prices for savage blood commence! Also, the standardization of sorcerous element prices will be nice as well. Yay for having a pocket alchemist.

HOLY JESUS finally! God damn traders were mocking my poor alchemist desperately searching for something useful to do with the thousands of fucking herbs I have stockpiled.

Yes, with this change I will most likely create two more crafted armors. Getting to 680 is about the best I can expect. I already crafted shoulders with the primal spirit turn ins (had around 800 spirits on my miner). That was totally worth it though as my only upgrades would have come from Heroic Thorgar or Imp and that sucks.

So, as best I can tell, you get the same or better return from just selling blood/elements on the AH as you would from actually crafting anything with them now. Using your tradeskill cooldowns adds 0 value to anything made with bloods, and may as well be used on the cheap base items.

I am still getting good use of my blood gearing up my alts now having my shaman able to whip out 2 max upgraded weapons is pretty dang noticable on the DPS meters for me and getting another layer of upgrade for both of them just makes it that much better. Guaranteeing you have a weapon or weapons with the stats you want fully maxed out is a pretty nice ability.

Anyone an inscriptionist and have any extra paints for trinket upgrades? Got 640 Tank/DPS and would like to upgrade them. Have stacks and stacks of herbs for pigments.

The difference in damage between normal blackhand and heroic is just hilarious. Also, why the fuck didn't I pick up this BrM overpoweredness with my crystal ball and play that instead of warrior? So many cheesed mechanics.
