And nerfed a lot ;P

Honestly hard to say. Rogues are hard to beat for a good raiding melee class. They have great utilities. Having a a defensive that is a damage reduction with no CD just a energy cost is crazy(feint). Not to mention cloak which can negate so many raid mechanics.

So I'm pretty much stuck between rogue and enhance shammy for starting legion. Rogue brings better dps. Shammy brings top quarter dps, lust, and movement totem. Anybody that can sell me on one or the other?

These are the two I've narrowed down to as well. I'm probably going Shaman due to versatility and utility.

That is the way I'm leaning as well. I'd probably be going rogue if Assa wasn't garbage in comparison to outlaw once you get any sort of gear according to the sims. It also seemingly has worse scaling then Sub as well. Still a hard choice though because Outlaw is so incredibly good right now it almost makes up for the added raid versatility that the shammy brings.

edit:

I also think the shammy artifact offhands look like ass... but numbers over aesthetics.

Im liking ass rogue a lot, tried outlaw in beta and wasnt thrilled with roll the bones rng, its either amazing or terrible.

Outlaw is probably my favorite spec in the game atm, which is pretty amazing considering how little interest I've had in my Rogue the last few years. I just feel like with the amount of time you'll need to invest into a single character it's probably better to have a class that's more diverse. Who knows I may end up playing the Rogue anyway...lol.

I'm pretty sure I saw that as long as you have two buffs the difference between rolls is like a 3% difference at most. The rng isn't that big a deal.

Been dicking around on beta some more (it's still up lol) and this seems to be the ideal path to take for leveling for fire mage

kSmvDws.png

Basically go green>yellow>red. Put 3 points into Cauterizing Blink which heals you for 15% of your HP every time you blink. It's amazing for healing between mobs and very useful for any elites you're kiting around. Then go down the yellow path to Phoenix Reborn as it's the best for leveling and dungeons. Then work back up the red path for Pyretic Incantation as it's your largest single target DPS increase.

Note that the golden dragon in the upper right Aftershocks is garbage at the moment and the description is misleading. "Flamestrike calls down 1 additional pillar of fire each time it is cast." but the additional pillar only does like 10% damage. Do not get this trait until you're out of other good shit to buy.

I'm assuming step 7 is dictated by their bullshit daily/weekly model?

Yes and no. You can grind artifact power all you want, but the items that increase your artifact power multiplier are gated behind the "daily/weekly model." If you want to finish your weapon out early, it's gonna be a lot of grinding.

I'm loving that old crafting mats are selling so well right now.

Dusted an old horde paladin I hadn't played since WOTLK yesterday. Completely broke as fuck and my only character still on Horde side.

Proceeded to put all the old crafting mats in his bank at the AH, and already made 3K+ gold. It's a starting point. Still far away from being able to buy expert/master flying though.

People are probably trying to unlock old appearances from tradeskills, which means they need to craft those things. WoD recipes are far more efficient to level, but, well, they don't give you old items.

Haven't played since MoP and just getting back into the game -- am I wasting my time running invasions for gear? Seems gear gets replaced almost immediately within a new expansion, wondering if the same will happen with invasion rewards...

Invasions are primo if you intend to level anything else up. The gear is whatever and will be replaced shortly later this week.

Having the 700 gear will help you get your weapon early and make it so you dont struggle as much with the early quests.

The instances for the weapon quests are scaled like timewalking and proving grounds. You might be better off with low gear with a bunch of gem slots, like the optimal timewalking cheese sets. On my 727 ilevel DK, I died more times (3) getting the frost weapons, than I did in the whole rest of the leveling experience. Well, if you dont count falling deaths....

Still, the ilevel 700 gear should last until 102 or 103, for the most part. I logged on my 101 DH, and the quest greens were 685. Of course they have a pretty good chance to proc higher with the Class Hall perk (that everyone should take).

Reinstalled the game and it started telling me I dont have minimum reccomended requirements for video card.
My computer is sorta old Id like to get a new one but atm no real game I feel is worth me getting one right now. I ran around in WoW game ran pretty decent a little lagish
Anyone know how much a minimum requirement video card would be around

Wow can run on a potato... you say a little old, but if it's telling you that, either they updated something, or your shit's like 6-7 years old?

They've been updating the engine and cranking up the requirements every expansion.

Edit: here you go, requirements for Legion.

Running Moose tonight. If you want in add Penance#1464 and be on by 8:00 EST. Just a couple of bosses. I'll be healing, but can probably tank if need be.

Also, here is a great spreadhsheet, all in one, for what you need to do to prep for legion. If we are serious about progression I would think we could have some people look at that.

Maybe it's just anecdotal but I've done most of the class artifact quests now and the only ones I've managed to die on were my ret pal and (700ish) frost DK. I'm sure a part of that is that I really suck balls at playing a DK, but their artifact quest really felt overtuned (especially the Icecrown part).

The %dps = shield talent is OP enough to help on those guys in ICC.

It helps to charm one of the undead dudes to tank for you. Lot of ppl forget you can do that.
