If I had to base my entire review of the expansion on darkheart thicket, this would be the worst expansion ever. Violet Hold doesn't help.

The dungeons aren't all that fun except for Neltharion's Lair. That dungeon is great.

I enjoy the dungeons so far, but yeah Neltharions Lair is like an adventure while dungeoning. I can see it getting annoying at the end of the expansion but for right now it's most definitely the best dungeon they have ever made IMO.

I think this is the best MMO expansion I've ever played in. I love that I feel like every time I level I should go back to dalaran to do class and profession quests - provides a great break and it's going to be fun leveling multiple alt.

I also love artifact progression - and I am surprised that I have not heard more speculation about new artifacts showing up over time with their own expansion trees. I'm sure that has been mentioned somewhere, but they really have an opportunity to open up infinite playstyles with each spec (holy priest dps spec with an ultra-smite artifact?, disc priest tank with self-only shield?, etc.)

I wonder what they will do for future expansion with the Artifact Weapons.

Option #1: Simply replace it with a new one, old one becomes obsolete. This mean you lose the artifact ability, which would be replaced by a new one each expansions.

Option#2: Similar how EQ2 did AA, have a Tab for each expansion Talent Tree and you keep the same weapon and keep improving it. Could easily add new appearance to it.

There's probably other options too.

Not sure what I'd prefer.

I do not think they will carry the artifacts over. It has been said that players will(Unlike all other legendary items) be able to transmog them in the future. This is especially important for the Druid as it will be interesting to see how they handle the new forms in future expansions.

I am also enjoying this expansion. Have not been in any hurry to get to 110. Every time I see a star on the map, I stop whatever I am doing and go kill it. I have gradually increased everything. I have played only my Shaman so far and I am 105. I do look forward to trying out the Druid.

I think a lot of it depends on how well received they are. If they are well received they may continue forward or be upgraded. If not they will wind up getting tossed into mount doom at the end of the expansion to "slay the legion" or something.

The more I read the more homogenized the classes look, stances and chi removed, a lot of glyphs removed, and overall stream line of rotations across the board. I assume a good player will still outshine the bad but skill caps appear to have gone way down at least on paper.

They got rid of a lot of the "whack-a-mole" abilities. Those didn't make the class harder to play or allow the good players to outshine the bad. It appears to be more about timing your abilities correctly instead of having an X before Y type mentality.

And it still varies a good bit between classes and talents chosen. LIke enchance shaman taking all active abilities probably have MORE active rotational wack a mole things to do than the last couple expansions.

I thought they came out and said that the weapons were only for this expansion and would not carry over. Probably explain that they are tied to Azeroth and stop functioning once we get to Argus / wherever we go into space in the next expansion.

only think i dislike about the expansion so far is not even blizzard's fault, its the fucking ddos attacks, i literally cannot play the game past 10pm eastern due to the ddos shitfest, i tried for around an hr last night but ultimately shut the computer off just past 11:15 eastern due to not being able to do jack and shit, i died 4 times due to lag disconnecting. then it would take 5-10 minutes to get back in, i finally said fuck it with my wife- she only died once - and went to bed....hopefully tonite will be better, so far i've managed to get the artifact on my 5 level 100's and to do 4 maybe 5 quests in azshana before it got silly.

End of zone quest? Man I feel like I am barely halfway through azshuna and I just got the quest to go into their dungeon.
If you push through the Naga section of the quests first it'll give you that quest. I think you can do the nagas before you do the blue dragonflight?

Same in Val'sharah... you get the druid section out of the way right away but still have the black rook section afterwards (and I'm not sure I ever got a real breadcrumb to that, just exploring).

I am not jumping in till Friday, but I am confused and concerned about the artifact weapon and multi spec, does it limit me, I love druid because it can do anything I don't want to get stuck, can someone explain the interweb is not too helpful.

Next expansion will have player housing and artifacts will be decorative items. I'm calling it now!

Based on the heroic / mythic dungeons i've done, there is a canyon level difference in terms of skill to be seen between people in my guild (top 50) and the occasional pug if forced to use one even with the ability trim

The exp scales really badly after like artifact level 13. Getting one artifact to 14 is the same as getting 2 to 13. Once you get your class hall missions you start getting enough exp that if you aren't a poopsock raider you can level 2 or 3 of them and be totally fine.

Yeah I just did a couple blue dragon flight quests and wandered over to Naga quest line and finished that out, must be why.

Actually you can do that pretty early there is an early quest giver that gives the ones that lead you there and leads to the other druid line of stuff. It is just that the druid stuff goes in one steady path while that would have had you go out of your way for the time you received the quest so I think most will wind up doing it last.
