Just got to 110 last night, Aszuna and Val'sharah are decent enough zones and I would suggest for anyone to start out leveling in those, they're shorter and give you a good chunk of level exp with the class/profession quests thrown in. Highmountain was really boring, felt like mulgore/stonetalon mountains 2.0, a lot of quests dragged, even had to drag/escort a slow walking granny to her kids. Stormheim was not as bad and basically howling fjord 2.0. Also for those two last zones the bonus objectives went slower than the first two, the progress was usually 2-5% for aszuna and val for most of those, while high and storm ones were 1-5%, with the majority of it at 2%, so you had to sit there and basically slaughter around 40 mobs, shared tagging worked but in some cases I was either around 5 other people or none at all.
The quests were really all the same though, go to new area get bland kill or poke or pickup stuff quests, then kill boss quest, throw in an escort or mass murder quest. But it just didn't seem "fun", kept wishing for a zone like uldum and harrison jones questlines. I know it's the end of the world and it's dark times, but too many conveyor belt quests and not enough unique/fun ones throw in between to make me forget the monotonous grind, other than the class quests which I ran up to the roadblock quest at like level 103 that needed 5 follower quests at like 16hrs each to proceed, Level 110 now and the fifth quest should be done right about now...
Where the hell was the legion? lol for a expansion that's suppose to be about them seems like 90% of the time in you're doing local stuff and just dealing with the boss who got bribed to be with the legion. I suppose the meat of it will be at 110 in dungeons/raids/world quests. 3 weeks of bombing azeroth, then, alright boys pack it up we're going on vacation for another month while we get the raids installed.
The grappling stuff was something new at least, and I'm sure all the class hall quests will be interesting.
