Do you remember what ilevel you were when kalec showed up? im 845 and no kalec yet =/ (third slot already unlocked)

I must've been 843-845ish when I first got it earlier this week. I think it's more closely related to your nightfallen rep progress than ilevel though. Assuming you've finished your class campaign and you're out of the post-honored nightfallen quests Kalec should pop up in your class hall around your artifact forge.

You just bad. I did it with rogues and warlocks and hunters. Don't hate chain fear.

We got a badass over here. I'm sure it went more like this for you:

Step 1: Bitch about needing to get different rep for every heroic to get the key just so you can enter
Step 2: Bitch about how only certain classes are welcome because the mechanics were way overtuned and most CC was unreliable
Step 3: Bitch that you needed to farm every single consumable in the game because TBC was built around having access to a shitload of different potions/elixirs/flasks/buffs
Step 4: Praise the lords of WoW for realizing how retarded that shit was and listening to all your nonstop bitching and changing all of that shit
Step 5: Wait 10 years
Step 6: Pretend it was the most fun you've ever had in the history of video games.
Step 7: Call someone on a forum somewhere a bad

OK a guildie says Kalec showed up in his class hall after he hit artifact level 17... that could be a trigger too. I was 21ish with my holy artifact so not really sure.

Kalec DOES have some spoken audio dialog when you see him, so if you activate your 17th AP and hear him pipe up, then that must be it.

Meh, to each their own. I never stacked classes in heroics, I don't ever remember people LFG for 3 Mages. I absolutely loved TBC heroics and their difficulty. I'm not going to call you bad, but the idea that you needed 3 mages or had to farm consumables for heroics isn't accurate.

Maybe they are better now, and certainly they are for the majority of players, but TBC heroics were some of the most fun I've had in this game. You actually felt like you accomplished something when you cleared one.

weird, i'm 847, 18/13/7 in my artifacts, attuned to Arcway/CoS (haven't ran CoS yet), class quest done, and working on my 4th order hall research and no Kalec. A paladin guildy had kalec show up for him after the 17th point (and 100 world quests complete).

Doesn't surprise me that's how you read it.

I didn't need 3 mages, nor did I LFG that way. That was just how the vast majority of LFG spam looked and that's what I was pointing out. People refused to take many classes when trying to form groups.

I played with a group of friends and we made due but it sucked. I did them and got through them but I was also a poop socking druid and had like 73% dodge and an insane amount of armor. And anyone saying it was fun and challenging has a serious case of rose colored glasses on. You aren't remembering TBC heroics at release. They were horribly tuned and designed. They weren't fun at all except for maybe Slave Pens because it was actually fun trying to interrupt those stupid netheray .5 second fear casts.

Anyone who had fun in them at release is in the .01% of the population of the game (and I'm not talking about skill, I'm saying you're a head case)

Lfg spam in WoW is always retarded. Like 90% of mythic 5 man groups at the end of WoD requiring people to have ilvl710+

TBC heroics were the worst thing possible if you were a melee class. i played a rogue back then and got shat on by every trash pull/boss, it was doable but you took so much more damage than a hunter/mage/warlock etc

the 3 mage thing was probably ideal? the same way i see people advertising in trade chat "LFM mythics 840+".

on a different note i've been in 820+ groups where the frost mage is doing 101k dps. maybe its time they bring back proving grounds and just say "do 170k dps on this moving dummy for 2-3 minutes" to qualify for mythics.

I miss vanilla dungeons like Scholo, Strat and L/UBRS when you could bring up to 40 people in. Take as many people as your scrub asses needed or 5 man it (minus UBRS and maybe strat undead. Those repopping zigs and tha aboms part were tough on 5man early on)

Minor annoyance about the artifact fishing pole.

Rare fish acquired when you have it equipped change their tooltip to be +50 AP when you throw it back in the water. However, if you say, have the sleeping murloc in your inventory and use it at some other time when walking around. All the fish he gives you will not be +AP rare fish. Any rare fish you had hoarded won't be +AP.

Fishing Pole allows you to fish up entire pools in one cast, gives you aquatic form and allows you to teleport to the closest fishing pool. Can also fish up blood of sargeras and some talent that allows you to fish up boots (not sure what this means exactly).

Got my item level to 849, working on the fishing artifact, grinding world quests like mad -- still miss the combat from BDO though.

So guessing for the Kirin Tor world quest daily getting the Night fallen +rep item is best?
I went with Wardens, but I'll alternate between wardens and nightfallen for it. I clear every Nightfallen WQ when they pop, but I don't always get to the Various Warden ones.
There is no point in keeping the rare fishes as the skill granting and AP granting ones are separate entities. Latter ones only spawn after you obtain Underlight Angler.
Thanks for the tip, gonna sell them. They're 10g each which ain't that bad.

More specifically you can only get the +AP ones with the UA equipped.

Also water walking and fish form are amazing, but I have yet to fish up a boot, not sure about that trait.
I get boots all the time but I don't know the traits for the fishing artifact yet.

Sounds awesome, I can't wait to get it. Stupid frost worm in high mountain is killing me.

gonna work on upping that ilvl too, rogue is still a shitter at 818 or something. Horrible luck on drops :x

druid is still sub 800... this expansion is super alt-unfriendly lol, too much to do on one character let alone 2+

If you're trying to do the Mythic dungeon achievements for the Glory Of meta achieve it doesn't matter if you've already done your first Mythic for the week right?

I like trying to put groups together to get the Meta achieve mounts at the beginning before its trivial.
