Just resubbed, looking to get in and geared before NH comes out. I have my Druid, but don't want to tank really unless they changed feral? I hated feral because snapshotting bleeds can go suck a dick, along with managing the CDs they have to manage, oh and energy pooling. But really if they got rid of the snapshotting it'd be fine. What are the chances I can get an alt geared and AP ready before NH comes out? Slim to needle dick is my guess, but I'd love to get my Monk or Huntard to 110 and raid with them.

With 7.1.5 or NH (I can't keep track!), everyone can buy AK up to AK15. So don't stress too much about AP.

I'm leveling up a Pally alt, so I can casual dadplay my way along with two characters and double my chances of winning the lego-lottery, happy to play along with ya for levels/gear/dungeons?

Oh didnt know everyone can get 15.
I think it's previous tier -5, i.e. you can buy AK5 if you have a AK10-14 char, AK10 if you have 15-19, or AK15 only if you have 20-24 on your main (and of course AK20 if you're maxed)

aren't they getting nerfs on tuesday? I like mythic+ a lot but I prefer smaller group content. 5 mans, and for a raid a 10-15 man is ideal for me. The thing I don't like is the total RNG with loot now. I'd rather mythic+ give some sort of currency that you spend on gear. They'd have to do away with the RNG wf/tf/sockets etc etc though. Or maybe you use currency to buy gear, and use currency to add ilvls to it, sockets, etc. Completing faster times gives more currency. I'd much rather that type of grind than the super RNG grind of hoping you get a titanforged item.

One of the best parts of Wrath - I felt rewarded for doing dungeons 100 times for currency to buy alternate gear that was variable (more than one stat type per piece of gear) and raid equivalent (-5 ilvl). Even if the items or upgrades were stupid expensive, it would still feel better than praying for RNG on RNG on RNG.

Snapshotting isn't really a thing anymore, now that damage actively scales with your stats. It affects %dmg buffs, but you're going to be stacking them anyway.

yea you need at least 1 character 5 higher than what you are buying like Ukerric Ukerric said.

I had some help but my hunter is 840 now after making him on Friday, it's possible be geared in 2 weeks to be ready for nighthold but you need a little luck on your side. the biggest gap is going from 825ish gear to 850ish gear since mythic +0's are probably the most toxic thing in the game at the moment.

LFR and crafted gear can fill that gap quite handily.

Really? After making my new DK I have been running 3-4 Mythic +0's a week and just plowing through them with no real toxicity. If you need a small carry o help you through them add me as I haven't done any this reset and need to do some for the lottery RNGesus of BiS gear :)

If you play a lot you'll be fine. Doing 100 to 110 takes like a day or two then just dungeon or wqs until you can start doing lfr and mythic+

If you're lucky you can pug heroic and normal en probably too

there was a youtube video someone did to test barrier to entries in different areas of the game, so you have high end raiders that still do daily heroics. basically they had 10 880+ folks que individually for heroics and they all got separated. something about blizzards group making algorithm will try to assign 1 carry to the group. in heroic all you need is 1 carry whether its dps/tank/heals any player that outgears it can make it successful.

then you have Mythic+0's which is the currently no-mans land for raiders, its a waste since it provides terrible AP and the gear is pretty bad barring the random titanforge, then you get into +2's which once again usually have a carry or two since even higher end raiders will be running this for the quick AP. the issue is that on a mythic+0 you have to do the mechanics, its several months into the expansion and i still see +0 groups that dont know how to do things like parjesh's spear in EoA which will kill most non-tank classes or interrupt things like the Champions screams in MoS, standing in helya's breathe, not interrupting torrents. It's like this perpetual thing where people dont want to do mythic+2's or higher because its not "casual" but they are fine derping their way through a mythic+0 dying 3-4 times.

your mileage may vary but i absolutely despise +0's unless we have non-PUGs in it.

I don't know, maybe I just don't mind teaching mechanics to people so that's why I don't find them that bad. I've had baddies in them but never toxic people. I've had toxic people in my M+ groups. Those things have people who think they got the biggest dick in the room all the time. It's kind of hilarious. My favorite is when people start linking their cutting edge Xavius. LFR is probably the most toxic environment I've found though. It's good for legendary points (supposedly) so like everyone does it but no one really wants to do any work what so ever so people are phoning it in except that one dude who is logging it and posting the logs and really throwing his dick on the table.

Mythic0 is gonna be mostly people who haven't done them before, I'd expect most people to not know mechanics

AP from M0s is actually pretty decent. You can get unlucky I guess and not have any bosses drop the talismans but its 50k per talisman at AK 25. If you're only carrying one person through you can pull huge and do any dungeon pretty quickly.

I'd do M0s over M2-3 every day of the week.

Lol wut, this statement is just logically incoherent months into the expac. Most groups are for WQs/alts/AP/LEC counter. Also those mechanics still exist in heroic and to some degree on normal as well.

Yea i suppose thats my problem, i dont want people learning mechanics in mythic0's especially when they should have done them on normal and heroic. I wouldn't bring someone in Mythic EN that hasn't stepped foot or at least has some understanding of heroic EN. I have had people rage in Mythic+'s usually always people from Illidan who type things in all chinese then caps lock broken english rage. Also i still haven't found a good PUG from Ragnaros, those guys are always standing in swirls and shit.

LFR is full of trolls but i do it every week for the legendary points, I think ive had to single tank every boss in there because "lol mechanics" including dragons when the entire raid is asleep and we're just waiting to wake up to kill it. Just yesterday i did LFR on my hunter and had a tank try to kite Ursoc around the room because he said it made him laugh to see the dps chasing it, another try to drag xavius to the adds that aoe when they are close and another that kept dragging heimdall and hyrja together making them immune.

The mechanics may exist but don't try to pretend they matter. There are mechanics that are easily ignorable that will destroy you in mythic
