I think you should be able to get through it in a day.

Definitely good design... having players do the same shit they've been doing for weeks as a new and exciting way to advance a storyline.

For most people to get 12 wq in the islands probably won't happen in one day. Generally there seems like 8 or less up at one time so after doing a clean swipe you would have to wait for the next batch to appear which takes a bit. If it was on a weekend you may be able to bang them all out but most would take a couple days. And yes it is still kinda fucking silly but still better than hand some dude a few crystals that you have thousands of already to complete in 2 seconds.

this is just an excuse to give everyone flying, each week you get 1500 rep. so casuals wont complain they had to grind out their flying.

meanwhile i hit exalted with legionfall yesterday ...yay i can buy a tabard now.

This likely is pretty close to the point. Very minimal amount of work and you WILL get the rep required for flying so the rest is just do the other stuff which most people will have simply from playing.

you need exalted for your class mount in the final week + breaching the tomb. So eventually if you want a mount its a decent idea to finish the rep (or just wait for it via the weekly quests)

Between order hall stuff for rep+ the weekly stuff+ the world quest boss that gives some serious rep just doing the weekly stuff should get you at or past exhalted before tomb opens.

The thing is, there is no reason that every step of this can't be like the Anduin thing. Maybe not the cinematic, but a bit of story advancement. I mean shit, we just resurrected Illidan, and all he has going on is collect bullshit demon asses? The Alliance is kind of in a shambles with Velen/Greymane trying to cover for the fact that Anduin is a pussy (and don't forget Diamond King Magni and Azeroth the Titan, wtf happened to that story, it's off on the rowboat with Gendry and Queen Aszhara and Jaina); the Horde just had their leader get pwned by Greymane over the Valkyra and there has to be some shit going on there as Sylvanas wasn't really that trusted in the first place.

So far the story has been the tiny piece in the Cathedral, 'sidequest' order hall stuff, the Anduin thing, and that's about it. I mean, they've done the whole 'build up to the big raid' like a half dozen times or more, surely they can't be mailing it in THAT badly. Even when we did it a few months ago with the Nightfallen there were little logical pieces building up to the assault on Nighthold, sure there were a couple of random cockblocks in there but they weren't right up front.

We easily can do that but... when mobs are groupable, not when they're spread way the fuck out lol. I'm still not sure why they thought it was a good idea.

So you don't need Exalted to get your class mount. Just need to finish the Legionfall and Order Hall campaigns.

Pretty sure I'll end up at Exalted anyways, though we'll see, because I'm out of order resources and have to actually log in to play more if I want to do all that.

Heh, so I didn't know until about 5 minutes ago that the stupid brawler's guild order hall missions are a long quest chain that ends in you getting Meatball as an order hall champion. And apparently he's badass.

Yes, yes he is. I don't even have him maxed out yet and he does great. The balls of energy he brings back are useful too.

You can also use the lead-up missions to getting him as a way to level up some of your guys since they have easy requirements. I've had duplicate quests in that series pop up.

I ignored the quest because I didn't invest any AP in my DPS spec and tanks cant do shit anymore in Brawlers after they removed vengeance ;p
