Thinking about leveling a BM monk. Are BoA items cross server yet or are they still same server only? If so can I mail them to my horde character if I'm ally?

The goblin starter zones are easily the worst pieces of content in the entire game, it's pure suffering and never seems to end. I wonder how much that factors into Goblins having the lowest player percentage.

A lot of the zone remakes were like Uldum, just fucking cheesy shit made by people who don't know when to reign it in, especially on the Alliance side because the Alliance are always given scraps

You can mail BOA's cross faction as long as you're on the same server. In 5.4.2 you can mail BOA's between characters that are on connected realms. I believe it isn't until the expansion where you will have a tome that you select the BOA from and it is a legitimate bind on account feature where any and all characters you have on your account can access it.

Keep petitioning it until you get a GM that isn't a generic CS drone following a script. You'll get one eventually.

In 5.4.2 they are making heirlooms mailable cross-server (since Warlords is making them accountwide in a pet/mount browser style).Source.

Thanks for the offers RE: ElvUI, but I guess there's just a few idiosyncrasies I have that can't be fixed, and/or addressed without having to re-load the UI every 10 seconds or checking the enable box to actuallyenablesomething.

I went back to my standard group of add-ons.

I use ElvUi as well and have a question, I'd like to disable some of the short-term buffs it tracks for me above my unitframe, these:

Mainly I play a brewmaster and it keeps tracking so much useless shit, like my power guard. I'd like to disable most of it, so if anyone knows where to it'd be greatly appreciated

I just can't stand full UI modifications, I prefer a few personalized mods. For example the main reason I can't separate myself from Xperl is the big icons with my effects on the mob, no need for fancy timer mods with graphical bars, etc.
In short I live with Xperl, Bartender, Recount, TellMeWhen and eventually a class specific mod. The rest of the UI has a few QoL mods such as Auctioneer, Altoholic (mandatory for me, 11 characters and all that jazz), Bazooka with a bunch of plugins to decorate my topscreen status bar and so on and so forth.

I'm looking for a good 27" monitor now and a decent prize-quality Nvidia card (660 or above) to play in higher resolution. My awesome BenQ 20" starts to feel a little bit too small.

Question on another topic: got a warlock to 89, once at 90 I'll do the timeless isle etc. but I'm impatient to start my green fire quest: exactly, which mobs drop the tome on the isle of thunder? Are they soloable in 490ish gear? It still goes for over 10k gold on my server, I'm not really willing to pay that much if I can avoid it. Farming stuff I don't care, the reward is good enough to camp nameds over and over. It's not like I never did that

I just came back to wow and I like ElvUI after changing a few things around. Can't say I like it more than individual mods but I just can't be fucked to hunt down a bunch.

I like that they sped up leveling in Cata. I tried out my warlock on a shitty server that just got realm connected to another shitty server and I went from 80 to 82 in like half of Hyjal and 2 dungeons. Then I got corpse camped by a level 88 at the bird place because he felt it necessary to lock down that bustling zone with 4 people in it

Now I want all my characters on dead pvp servers moved but that would cost a small fortune

There are a bunch of things i'd like to add into ElvUI, but I'm pretty nervous on fucking things up with it. I like Bagnon's ability to display a total count of an item in my bank and in my bag. I like squire2 to randomize my mount. I did add in NPC_Scan because it's helped out a bit (though it seems almost slower than the default blizzard minimap icon).

I just started up leveling my 85 DK. Any suggestions? I have a pile of Timeless tokens for him, so that won't be a huge concern.

Any of the rare mobs drop the book.

I soloed all of them in 490'ish gear myself. Still no book for me but I don't put a ton of time into it.

There are a couple mobs you need to swap pets out for and one that needs a gimmick other than that almost all the other ones are just pulling out the void and just standing at max range nuking.

None of the above.

It is random who gets one and how many people get one on each kill. The only thing that is certain is that you always get one that is usable by your current class and specialization the first time. So if you are a rogue, you will get a dagger. If you are a Shadow Priest/Mage/Boomkin/etc, you can get the 2h Staff OR the Offhand Book for your first item.

After the first item, it is entirely random which one you will get.

A hunter in my guild got a bow the first week, a bow the second week, a 2h Axe the third week, and nothing since.

Open Raid tends to have a better, if smaller community. However, they expect a higher level of play from the people that they invite to the raids.

oQueue is more aimed towards quick pick up raids. You can probably scrape by with a lower level of gear, but expect the other players to be doing the same. A wipe or two and the raids will end up falling apart. It has become popular to make people trying to get into a FLEX raid have a gear score of 525, 530, or even 540.

If you have 540 why in the fuck would you be in a Flex raid? Valor points? That's a great way to spot a raid full of incompetent twats looking to get carried.

Also I need some sort of buff/debuff bar replacement for Elkanos, which apparently is no longer being updated.
