I used to think the players in flex were better than those id find in LFRs just because they were generally hand picked and screened. I dont think that way anymore.

I believed flex would be a positive compromise between pure pugging (Looking for Retard) and regimented guild raiding. Instead, I have borne witness to levels of stupid that I never before would have believed possible from humans with mental capacity enough to understand language and use simple tools.
Just hit 90 an d go straight to Timeless Isle now, get a full set of i496 gear and a 476 weap. Took a fresh 90 druid there and was able to queu for lfr SoO the next day

If you link the ability 'Taunt' or whatever class-version of it they have, it will auto-translate into their native language for them.
You get a quest automatically at 90 when you go back to the vale, "A Flash of Bronze" I believe, and he will give you an item that teleports you directly there.
Timeless Isle - Zone - World of Warcraft
Zone in to vale of eternal blossoms and a quest will pop up. All the rares there just require you to do dmg to them, you do not have to be grouped.

Timeless Isle is definitely worth spending a day doing and getting all the chests out of the way, and celestials done for that week. I did it as soon as I turned 90 and was raiding SoO the next day just like Insomnia said. Plus, the gear you pick up on that character that you cant use, is account bound, so you can put it in the bank for alts. I have a full set of Plate, Chain and Cloth to put on any alts I decide to bring up next. Thats just from two characters.

I mean, the person that would pay to get carried through it is already a fucking tool to begin with. But lets talk about the obscenity of that price. 600k gold if you were to sell it yourself would net you like 700 bucks. If you sold it to a company, you would probably see 300 bucks. The 14/14 guild on my server thats selling those runs are just flat out charging 180 bucks, with any gear you want and fluff items like pets/mounts. Thats still ridiculous, but not near as crazy as the 600k gold sell price.
Everyone else find that 90% of the LFR shitheads that intentionally wipe the raid are from Kel Thuzad?

I will say this much, Stormrage population is at least vast enough I can drop a group and immediately join a new, somewhat less shitty group in mere minutes. Eventually though I'll have 'the reputation' of bailing (according to a Frost Mage pulling 125k single target on Garrosh and blaming his role on Engineers as a reason) but I really dun give a shit, so many people in these PUGs if you so much as outdo them in performance you're classed as an elitist. On the opposite spectrum, you've got Flex raids which yell at you for not joining Ventrilo or Mumble to participate and of course I join those for giggles and mute the channel because there's not a single thing 'new' that I need to understand about Malkorok but if we wipe it's because I wasn't on chat program not because a single Healer out of the three we had to use could maintain a shield on anyone or understood what Raid Frames are. Clearly.

Yea ~ pugging Normal/flex, if you have to, is super easy on a server with the population of Stormrage. Was always nice to be able to finish SoO when my guild as a group couldnt get past a particular boss. To bad Heroic groups arent as puggable!
With oQueue and Stormrage type of population, dont be afraid to kick someone out of your Flex (or PuG Normal). Have no remorse for kicking that one fuck up. Cause you're pretty much guaranteed to lose two or three players that do know the encounter before you lose the person thats fucking up. When they wont use their time to learn about the encounters before hand, what gives them the right to waste yours and 8 other peoples time?
You wouldnt think so, but I ended up making friends with the players that knew their shit because we would complete the zone. Often grouping again with the same people the next raid cycle.
