80% of those changes sound like fucking garbage.
Yes.. because reforging for hit every time you got a new piece of gear, and having your hotbars cluttered withs kills you don't use 98% of the time was a good thing.
I'm yet to read any change that is truly "fucking garbage". Feel free to point them out though, i'm curious.

The only thing I don't necessarily like is the fact that most instant heals are now 1.5 second castings, which is great for pvp.. but could make PVE kind of a nightmare if they decide to make everything "LOL DODGE THAT WHILE TAKING SUSTAINED RAID DAMAGE" again.

The healing changes suck dick. A lot of decent skills are dropping off. Strong classes are getting great talents while like half the other talents are just shit/lazy/bad.

Stages of denial:

1. It's waaaaay too early, it's still alpha.
2. It's waaaay too early, it's still beta.
3. It's waay too early, it's not live yet.
4. It can still change, it's not release candidate yet.
5. It will be better in X.1.
6. It will be better in next expansion.

they also removed Army of the Dead for all DK specs except Blood, so much for non tanks being able to tank in a pinch when needed/until the tank has been ressed again

not to mention that Army is one of *the* iconic skills for a Death Knight there
Frost DKs lose all the ghouls, lichborne heals since they lost deathcoil and still have Killing Machine making crit rating shit while cocking up their priorities all the time.

Not to mention blizzard doesn't even understand how DW frost is played these days.

I think this will be interesting. As a Hunter having to have all hotbars active and mostly filled with abilities and macros and shit, well, it was getting a bit too much. Sure, you could just keep to a handful of abilities and be a Huntard but if you wanted to pull your weight then it was getting a bit silly. Prolly one of the reasons I quit (again). I might even pick up this x-pac after all. Was not expecting to say that.

So then remove hit and keep reforge then?

I can appreciate that they're trying to trim the ability bloat, but taking away things like Army of the Dead for DK's seems too much. It's a 10 minute cd and mostly flavor.

Removing cooldowns doesn't bother me (just raise non-cooldown damage by X and call it a day), other than the hint of "We can't come up with unique effects for every spec, so we'll just remove existing ones from the other specs until every spec has an equal number."

I still have zero faith in them rebalancing all the pre-existing stuff. Especially with comments like "Players will deal bonus damage against lower-level creatures from past expansions". Uhh, the vast majority of redoing old content is killing boss level mobs. Unless they are hardcoding every old boss to a specific level (e.g. all Molten Core bosses are now level 63), that phrasing does not fix the problem.

My troll hunter has 14 different skills he has to juggle as survival. They call it a priority system. Every time one of the 14 skills comes off cooldown, you have to hit the button. There are a few procs that mix things up a bit but he was getting real tedious to play.

They're on the right track with cutting abilities at least. I'd also move snare onto tranq shot, and combine ice trap and freezing trap, and probably just remove snake trap. And there's still way to many dumb MOP talent rows where you choose between cooldowns of 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

Good to see that they are dumping mage level 90 talents, but why is rune of power still there? That's the most offensive one.

Im fine with Vengeance going poof. Was retarded that I was getting over 1.4 million on the Garrosh fight while our top DPS (577 Warlock) was pulling 880k, average. Though, I wish developers would come up with an idea that allowed Tanks to be on an even playing field with DPS, but there still be a strong desire to play a pure dps.

Bull fucking shit. Army was something you popped 5 sec before pull so you could get ~5% more dmg in. Any situation you're using it to pinch tank is: A) not really important, and B) handled just as well by popping on blood presence and icebound fortitude for a bit. I will kinda miss having it while running around questing as a dps, but any time I would need to use army I can still just go blood spec for and annihilate anyway.

They removed 90% of the abilities they did because they were 'required' skills to maximize your dps, but each individual skill usually only contributed a few % of your overall dps. It was getting out of hand, especially for hunters and shammies. If anyone is really that pissed off about this, just wait 2-3 more expansions and we'll be right back in the same situation.

Also, lol at pallies, and I'm actually tempted to start playing my warrior again.

I'm really upset that Mistweaver is turning into a turret-healer class design. Longer GCD, less chi generation, less fistweaving, no uplift/healing spheres on the move, and so much more are going to fundamentally change how the class is played.

So just because hunters and shamans needed an ability rework they had to axe other classes too? makes fucking sense. And tell me more how Army wasn't important for a DPS DK, done any gold challenge runs lately?

I think ESO was the first MMO they didn't cock block, I believe they even launched a patch right on Realm Reborn.
