Garrosh just has raging rose tinted glasses for the "true horde" and thinks they'd be unstoppable without the "weakness" of demonic taint. He's basically Dumar.
I lolled.

I enjoyed a lot MoP lore, the whole eastern theme was especially appealing and well done, but since I'm a humble kung fu student, it was too easy for Blizzard to suck me in.
It's true that after 10 years they must come up with new shit all the time, maybe orcs and trolls are not my favourites, but I'm sure they will make things interesting in the end.

Level 90 guildmates decked out in gear and just waiting for WoD have been going back to old raid content and soloing or doing it with just a couple of other players in order to try and get the unique mounts dropped by raid bosses.

Is it safe to assume that once WoD 6.0 patch goes live and everyone's stats are squished, the raid bosses in older content will also be squished so that level 90+ characters can still solo older raid content? I assume the answer is Yes but just wanted to confirm.

A level 100 in ICC does about 3,5 millions dps. It's a sort of damage buff you get vs low level mobs, not fully implemented yet (for example MSV trash still vaporizes players with squished stats). You can pretty much solo 25m heroic mode, except where mechanics prevent you from doing it, of course.
I'm not sure that, as a soloing hunter, I'll enjoy all this shit. For me killing kael'thas at 80 or Yogg at 85 felt a lot more satisfying than just going in, pushing 4 buttons and roll the lottery for a mount or whatever else is at stake.
Maybe that's just me.
Right now I want to play WoD so much that everytime the beta server goes down, I nerdrage a little bit inside.

Doesn't have anything to do about the sense of accomplishment of downing a raid boss for the first time. I've been away from the game for over 3 years. Last time I ever did serious raiding was in WotLK. I've essentially got 2 expansions worth of raid content I haven't done that I can go back and solo for mounts and items to transmogrify. Just needed to know if I should do it before 6.0 hits or if I could wait until after.

You won't be able to do it at 90 in 6.0 I don't think. The hax is just a lv100 thing afaik. I see people running oqueue raids for achivements and shit in older raid content all the time.

I'm wondering how these OG Orcs are even really a threat. Hopefully they emphasize that decades of war + the undead plague + the cataclysm have weakened the combined races of Horde/Alliance to the point where pre-war Orcs of the past have a significantly larger war machine. Are there large defections to the Iron Horde, or do they maintain racial purity and stand alone? They can do a lot with the story, if they try. We already know once they start losing they wind up going to the demons again.

Hopefully my shield will finally drop after a couple years trying. Probably not, but oh well.

Basically, Garrosh took back a bunch of documents and blueprints for the various siege engines we see in SoO.

The orcs did not trust him, so he told them about what will happen when they drink the orc blood. That is why you see Grommosh pause and ask what 'it will cost' them to drink it, which Garrosh told him it would be. Then the orcs break from their timeline by taking out Mannoroth using the Iron Star technology.

So it is a combination of amassivearmy of savage orcs, armed with our latest 'technology', attacking when the Horde and Alliance are both weakened from the raids on Orgrimmar and the skirmishes that led up to it.

I kind of like when the Horde and Alliance work together, I hope they do to take out the Iron Horde, since, ya know, they hate everyone on Azeroth.

As your journey takes you from Pandaria to Draenor, we wanted to extend one last opportunity to obtain your Legendary Cloak-and share some important updates related to this iconic item.

Legendary Cloak Changes: Once More unto the Breach
As a part of the transition from Mists of Pandaria to Warlords of Draenor, we'll be making some changes to the Legendary Cloak quest line and ultimately closing it out as players head into the new expansion. Once the quest is fully closed, the item will no longer be attainable, and the cloak will become a symbol of the great deeds you've accomplished in Mists of Pandaria.

With the release of the pre-expansion patch (6.0.2), players who are not already on the journey through this quest line will no longer be able to begin it. We will also be removing the Test of Valor step with patch 6.0.2 as a part of our transition from using Valor as a currency.

Once Warlords of Draenor launches on November 13, the Legendary Cloak quest line will be gone entirely-the quests and the cloak will no longer be obtainable, and any related in-progress quests will be cleared from your log.

But when one door closes, another door opens. In Warlords of Draenor, players will have the opportunity to earn a new Legendary item available exclusively in the new expansion:Khadgar's Band of the Archmage.

The Gaze of the Black Prince: One Last Look
If you haven't yet earned your Legendary Cloak, you still have one final opportunity to make accelerated progress on your quest. Rather than end the Gaze of the Black Prince buff on Tuesday, September 16 (as previously announced), the buff will remain active until the release of the Warlords of Draenor pre-patch (6.0.2). This buff increases the reputation gained with the Black Prince by 100%. It also increases the chance of obtaining items from his foes needed as a part of the Legendary Cloak quest line, including Secrets of the Empire, Sigil of Wisdom, Sigil of Power, and Titan Runestones.

Good luck on your quest, but remember that your voyage doesn't end here. Soon, you'll be setting your sights on the new Legendary item, Khadgar's Band of the Archmage, in Warlords of Draenor.
Heads up, if you have not started the Legendary Cloak Quest, you will not be able to when 6.0 goes live.

They are also removing the ability to purchase Heirloom items with Valor/Justice, as they will be removing those currencies. You will have to use Argent Tournament Seals (WotLK currency), Darkmoon Faire tickets, or Honor (For PVP items only) to pick them up until they return them in WoD. If you already have the Heirloom items, nothing will be changing with the items themselves. (I imagine that at some point in WoD, you will be able to upgrade them to level 90 items or whatever.)

I'm gonna laugh if people miss out on the cloak, even with gaze by 1 or 2 runestones by the end of this.
Hell, it'll probably be me that does it.

I want it on my paladin but i JUST started the valor quest.. and it's pointless to even start that portion now heh. I'll wait for 6.02 to hit

Well, 6.0.2 will hit in 3 to 4 weeks, so if it is 4, you could get it done and be working on the next part a week ahead of time, but yeah, forget that. My alts that are on the valor portion are waiting.

When you get a cloak thats an upgrade though, what the hell are you suppose to do with it then? Let it sit in your bank? It would be neat if they add Legendaries to their own separate list like theyre doing with Heirlooms.

Heirlooms are not getting their own tab in WoD. At least not on launch. They ran out of developer time and had to shelf that until later.

But... yeah. Legendary cloak is bank space/whatever once you get an upgrade in Level 100 Heroic Dungeons/First tier raid/whenever.

I pretty much did not start doing pandaria stuff until a week or so ago. I don't mind missing out on the cloak it was mostly something put there to help kill time until the expansion came out after such a long gap in content anyway it served its purpose.

More than anything I am curious as to how this fits into Wrathion's plans to unite Azeroth...why an alternate timeline Draenor of 35 years ago? For those of you who haven't completed the cloak quest, the very last step is actually to defeat Garrosh in SoO after you have completed your cloak and then return to him with the news and what happens after Garrosh's defeat. Basically he is furious that Varian doesn't destroy the Horde completely when he had the chance.

What is it, other than more, betterer-orcs that would serve this end? Hopefully it isn't just lolwowloreamirite?

Anyone have a recommendation on what a decent cash pool going into WoD would be? I feel broke with just 150K across all my Alliance characters on Proudmoore. Just came back to WOW after a long break and am currently leveling a Warlock as it's one of the only 2 classes I never touched. I hit 60 last night and plan on working on expansion prep such as finisheing tradeskills, money, clearing out banks etc once I cap that character out.

150k should be more then sufficient for anything you need going in to the Xpac from a tradeskill/gear perspective. The only reason you need a Scrooge McDuck style gold pile is if you are one of those guys who buys Soo heroic full clears or likes to buy the rare/expensive mounts and pets off the AH.
