Wrathion's plan is either a) "The Horde invading last time resulted in the creation of the Alliance, so a Super-Horde should then make the Alliance and (prime-)Horde unite!", b) "Fuck the lot of you, imma go get my own army! With Blackjack! And Hookers!", or c) Whichever of a) or b) ends up working.

Of course he's forgetting the secret weapons of both the Alliance & Horde - an elite group of murderhobos willing to do anything for shinies and happy to be pointed in a direction and be told "kill everything over there up to and including the scenery".

Then I should be good to go as don't do either of those. I really need to clear out my banks though in preperation for the expansion. I logged into my multitude of characters the other day when I came back and my banks/bags are full of crap that I doubt I would need/want once the expansion launches. Some of that sould be cleared up with the new UI improvements in 6.0.2 hopefully.

I thought they were setting it up for Horde and Alliance to raid together for 4 xpacs now. It would help a ton with not having to create content for 2 different factions and help with queues for everything. I hope they end up doing it one day, probably when the faction transfer money dries up.

As I was reading Itzena's post - that came to mind. The Horde and Alliance come together to defeat a greater evil. But then again, didnt we do that with the Scourge?

I would be a happier player if I didnt have to gear two characters, one horde, one alliance, just to be able to play with a group of people I know. All the cross server stuff has really helped, battle.net buddies etc.

Man, I still want cross-faction dungeon/raids. Especially if you're on a PvE server it makes sense. I doubt we'll ever see it though.

Keep in mind that WoD is going to be a massive fracking gold sink.

New mounts from vendors will cost 2-5k gold (plus some Apexis crystals/other currency loot) each.

They are moving away from Valor/Justice and placing a few 'catchall' items (Off-slots. No more gearing up entirely with valor/justice) on vendors that will cost a few thousand gold if you need them.

Garrison plots cost large chunks of coin to change out and many of the blueprints cost cash+alt currency as well.

On the topic of Wrathion and lore, he did not see this coming at all, so I doubt he had anything in mind for it.

As stated, Varian was intended to kill the leaders of the Horde, then destroy all of the individuals that kept fighting, before absorbing/enslaving/whatever the rest of the Horde into the Alliance, so there would be a single 'unified' front for whenever the Legion comes/we go after the Legion.

Guess I will get back to farming for a bit once this character hits 90. Halfway tempted just to blow my WoD character upgrade on my new 60 Warlock as the only other class I don't have at cap is the druid. Using the character upgrade would also max out Engineering and Tailoring. Hmmmmmm

Anyone know if Inscription is worth leveling anymore? Seems pretty niche since you can just buy all your glyphs for 1000gp and there are tons of every type up on the AH. I started raising Inscription on my new Warlock but it seemed pretty pointless. So, I opted for Tailoring and Engineering.

Don't feel bad. I only had 8K across all characters when I resubbed. After buying the last flying skill and glyphs for my boosted 90 I was down to 4K.

Inscription is DMF trinkets and shoulder enchants. Maybe changed in WoD?

You have a three week wait after the launch of WoD until the first DMF.

Biggest 'selling' point of the DMF cards are to early bleeding-edge raiders, who want to go into the raiding scene with everything that they can. First raid tier would have already been out for a week at that point, unless I am mistaken. Demand will still be there, but maybe not as rabid as it has been in previous expansions.

Gems look like they are going to be murder this expansion, with how difficult it is going to be to acquire the rare gems for cutting.

The problem with WoW and its murderhobos is that there really is no Horde vs Alliance in the actual story. Sure each expansion you hear about some offscreen atrocity that took place involving someone's injun joe trading post or a lumber mill, but all the real enemies to date were killed by the murderhobos without any concern for the other faction.

In fact in YOUR version of the story where your character is always the main hero (with some entourage types helping out) you have been the main force that has saved the planet many times over while the other faction has just done fuck all for the past decade.

I wish I could play beta and determine whether or not I want to play my paladin or go back to my druid that I've been going back to for like 8 years. shiet. Either way, hit 82 a bit ago on my paladin, probably going for 85 tonight. Just wanna be 90 already, lol. I won't have enough time to do the cloak quests though it seems

Free month? There is no free month with the purchase of expansions when applied to a previous existing account, only if you apply it to a brand-spankin' new account.

The 'hold' up is intentional. They want people to explore the world and take their time leveling, not just poopsock to 100 in a day and raid right off of the bat. Mind you, I am sure there is plenty of paranoia (and some rightfully so) that the raiding tier is not complete and they are delaying it for that reason, but we have no solid evidence leaning that way yet.

You have time. Start it. Even with shitty luck, you can get everything pretty quickly now with bosses having mandatory drop of wish/stone/relic blah blah blah. Itll be far more beneficial to you than you think.
