Feral is OP, mages and rogues are in... sounds like TBC. Arms warrior sounds tempting. I'm holding off on buying WoD preorder because I dont want to waste the lvl 90 boost and regret it. Leveling is horrible, i've gotten a warlock to level 9 over the course of 4 days. Maybe this game isnt for me.
Seriously how many times can you guys do this leveling process. Jesus christ it all seems so futile thinking where it leads, i'm going to pour hours and hours into this game that I will eventually be so bored with i'll have to start drinking heavily to get through one night of raids.

I think if you're feeling that way you're probably doing the wrong activities (and possibly playing the wrong game). I love WoW and most of the experiences it has to offer, but I hate sports games. I'm sure there's some aspects of those games that I would appreciate, but I'd still feel the misery you described every time I picked it up, in spite of the one or two things I liked.
Why bother at all if you know already that that's how you'll feel? Serious question.

I use the WoW pro leveling addon, combined with sell junk, and some other minor addons to basically automate all the micro bs into single button clicks. Auto accept quests, auto turn in, push button to sell junk, etc. I use the spare time to listen to audiobooks. I find the flow of grinding helps me concentrate on the content of the books. I'm level 35 and already halfway through my second audiobook.
This is basically the only reason I play WoW: to force myself to read.

Sadly, it's about accurate in this case, at least when I'm doing the 5 mans on beta. Surv is the most fun to play but the output is absolute garbage. Explosive CRITS for like 7-8k tops. Switch to MM. Aimed/Chim shot are critting for 40k... obviously survival nerfs are necessary.

I used the combination of: heirloom gear + Zygor's guide + netflix. I actually prefer how quickly you level through zones - to me it is more interesting changing spots within a timely manner.
I also use this combination on my laptop and watch shit tons of college football. The best add-on hands down is Zygors. Sometimes I will log on drunk off my ass and the next day I log on a few levels higher - FOLLOW THE ARROW!

A good buddy and I leveled new characters around the release of SOO > Leveling in dungeons from one to.. about level 40? was retarded fast. From there it slows down and in our opinion, its better to quest at that point. That is to say, if I ever care to make another character from scratch. Its a hit right in the kidney at its price, but I think Im at the point I would rather just buy a 90. Even though I can afk level, it still hogs the account and the computer and takes 4-5 days.

I still prefer questing to dungeon grinding to level, even if it's not always as fast. The constant endorphin rush of checking off objectives on a list keeps me much more interested than trying to keep up with an overpowered tank bulldozing his way to the end without stopping to loot. Plus, you get very little gear from dungeons while leveling. If you don't have heirlooms you will have to stop every 10 levels or so to get quest gear or buy shitty, overpriced greens from the AH.
The one problem I have with questing are the zones they skipped over in the Cataclysm revamp. Elwynn Forest is the primary offender, even though human is still the most popular choice for new players. The Draenei and Blood Elf zones are also pretty bad. Silithus is still a shithole, and then of course there's all of Outland. If Blizzard wants to improve their retention of new players, they should be doing everything they can to keep people the hell away from those zones.
It would be a lot of work, but an entire expansion focused on an alternate leveling path from 1-max would be fantastic. It's one of the things I liked most about early EQ expansions, although they've overdone it now. 2-3 choices of where to level is great, dozens is too much.

I've been playing for a few days now, and I haven't seen anyone from your guild online... ever.
As I previously stated we're a small guild. Only wanting to run 15-25 players max. Got about 12 now.. We are men and women with families Dunno what to tell you I have been busy this week .. We are all max level and have many alts so we have nothing to prove at the moment... we mostly get on Tuesday at reset clear all the BS log off and log on sporadically through out the week Ill be on tonight ... friend my battle tag ?
