Quite a stretch considering there is no incentive to do so, much less, have so many mounts (including RMT Mounts) look retarded since they are now ground only. Im thinking they will have an achievement to unlock that will allow flying mounts this expansion and Im cool with that.

How do the Goblins feature in the Iron Horde? All the technology that makes the Iron Horde powerful is Goblin engineering. There are even lots of Goblins you run into as part of the Iron Horde during WoD questing... That doesn't exactly jive with the all-orc racial purity thing. Garrosh could have potentially hooked up with the Blackfuse Company after opening the portal, but where did he get the tech up until that point? It's not like he was an engineering savant.
Afaik it was just tech we saw used in the SOO raid. So he probably learned something while building up his army to fight the Horde/Alliance

Goblins work for the highest bidder. Garrosh paid them, kept them from being tortured/beaten/etc like most of the other races/goblins were suffering.
Then he stole the blueprints for their designs and a few prototypes, went back, gave them to the orcs.
He has been in Alt-Draenor for years (I recall seeing 20 or 30 somewhere), even though in 'our' time it has only been a few weeks/months.

I hate it, i've been playing my mage i haven't touched since i RAF'd and leveled him to 90. Now i want to get his S1 tmog gear because i completely forgot how sweet that red/black set looks and i get cock blocked on the helm from that shitty event.

I've never found the chess event too bad. I guess the problem is that it's exactly as easy (or difficult) to solo as it was back at 70, which I would do every week with my rogue because our guild typically cleared up to Curator on tuesday then come back for the rest friday.
Foolproof chess event strat:
1) Zerg their king with your rooks, one at a time til each rook dies.
2) Zerg their king again with knights.
3) As soon as their king moves up enough to be in range of your queen (3 or 4 rows away), switch to queen and nuke the shit out of him.
I get a win pretty much every time doing this, even if they spawn a bunch of fire under your king; your bishops do a pretty good job of automatically healing him. If you're lucky they'll rush their king forward early and you can get a quick win with your queen, but if not I still usually win while controlling my first knight.

I'm doing Wrathions chain regardless if I'll be able to finish it or not. I just got the first chapter done, but I lold when he turned into a tiny little black dragonflight whelp. Also just realized that the quest for the 3000 valor is not retroactive and your progress only counts for the valor you get while on the quest. Yeah definitely not finishing.

even if you're sitting there beating on the guy with the queen he has 2 healers chain healing him. It takes forever, and theres literally no reason why it should be as tedious as it is these days. It should be flat out skippable if anything

Chess isn't all that bad once you get the hang of it. Still annoying though but I think I only ever wiped maybe 2-3 times while learning it.
My Strategy is
1. Jump to Blackhand. Pop lust
2. Jump to Peon near your demon to move up. Then jump over to Demon and move him to the middle
3. Move the peon diagonal to Blackhand forward so you have some space to move him when Medivh drops fire.
4. Repeat step 2 on the other side of the board.
5. Get you're wolves moving forward towards the enemy mage
6-7 play it by ear depending on how he moves his pieces.
8. Get on the Warlock and Nuke Llane down. jump to the healers if Blackhand gets lower than 35-40%.

First solo run in karazhan on warrior, Gorehowl dropped, and the robot pet....second run on hunter, prince dropped bow and pet and that devil dropped his pet.....horseman, fuck him! kill him on 11 90's per week and no horse or pet, glad I don't have to do chess event any more, he's a cheating cunt. Fuck onyxia too, I kill her with every class I've got that can do it and no mount.

Yesterday I was screwing around with my monk in heroic dungeons, I had to do them once to open challenges, so I started queueing with 2 friends. One of them wanted to tank, so I switch to healing spec, but since healing is not really required nowadays, I wanted to get familiar with Eminence and the melee to heal mechanics, which for easy content is very good. Keep in my mind I have an ilvl slightly above 500, so quite undergeared (still overgeared for heroic 5-men of course). At some point I notice that Recount told me I was doing 45-50k dps. I was stunned. I tried again on another boss, same result.
Holy crap, I'm in love with the class even more now and even more sad that they are removing my castable healing spheres.

Edit: it also helps if you have DBM installed for old raids so you know when medivh is going to cheat.

I wonder how much of Spires of Arak is based on what they had originally intended for Skettis during Burning Crusade but simply ran out of time for.
I think they slightly de-aged khadgar (giving him a much needed shave and haircut) because they wanted to use a powerful neutral mage and Jaina is now just too much of a bitch to fit in that role.
The expansion really fleshed out the Dranei considerably and I'm pleased with this after 8 years of largely ignoring that they even exist. Also gives significant 'air time' to the Dark Iron dwarves. That whole plotline where Moira is actually a good leader and the Dark Iron are stand-up guys has been rather well done.
It occurs to me that most of this expansion is a side story. Sure the Iron Horde attack Azeroth to kick it off (plus new BRM stuff) but other than that it's all about You as the hero plus Thrall and Khadgar etc off on Draenor dealing with Marty McCrazy. The big faction leaders aren't involved nor is there any more Black Prince and what not. In this respect the whole of WoD could just be a prequel to the next BIG thing. (Presumably going to Argus and dealing with the BC once and for all)
