I liked the way they handled the farm and Cooking, also fishing without the need to use a fishing pole unless you want the bonus to the skill. Of course I wouldn't dream about doing the farm every day on my 11 characters, but I kept two of them busy during the periods I played so I could have stuff for cooking, sometimes extra windwool cloth, Spirits, etc.
The idea behind making the usual banquets *and* the noodle carts was also great, it's fun and very good for raids/challenge modes. MoP cooking was pretty much perfect even for alts, being quickly able to catch up for a small sum with all of them and raise the skill to 535 in 20 minutes flat.
I enjoyed MoP a lot, with the exception of some stupid faction grinds, it was a brilliant expansion with very interesting content. I ended up not disliking the timeless isle so much as I thought, I still prefer the Isle of Thunder, but even the former was a decent way to pass some time and catch up with alts gear. Doing the Guo-Lai chests every now and then was also cool and profitable, it brought me back to the "relaxed grinding" days, where at the end I also made a good amount of cash in materials and looted gold.
I liked pandas and I loved the monk class, I'm still pissed off at their mistweaver changes in the most recent patch, hope they will revert them all to the previous status, because now half the skills are not even worth the global to cast them and the other half are cluncky and stupid, for now I'll stick to brewmaster and to windwalker.
I can't understand what would be the use of a 1,5s cast heal for a tank or a melee dps except to reduce downtime out of combat. Maybe they should consider to shorten the cast time by 0,20% every few chi that are spent, but as it is now, it's useful like a third testicle.
Of all my alts, I was pleasantly suprised by the rogue, it's amazing how a simple skill like burst of speed made the game immensely more fun. I practically have stealth with no cooldown and run at 220% when stealthed. I played a lot of assassination this time around and enjoyed the fact I could grind all day long without recasting a buff if I was quick enough at killing, meanwhile leeching poisons and recuperate kept me up comfortably. Admittely they are not great in AE, FoK seems a bit lacking in that department, Combat with Blade Flurry was definitely better in that regard.
I'll suck it up and admit it: last time I was so puffed up for a WoW release it was for WotLK, Cataclysm wasn't bad, but not that great and MoP initially flew by with a "meh" comment from my side, but in a short while it hooked me and didn't let me go.
