World of Warcraft: Current Year

Shit, and I felt bad for being at 11/12 runestones. If the feature is still around, chances are high I'll finish this week. If not, I'm guaranteed to finish before the xpac hits.

Why the fuck didn't they leave the black prince buff is mindboggling. The cloak is pretty much a toy right now, nobody cares about it, nobody really likes the particle effect and it's going to be useless in 1 month.
Running ToT with a band of 1500 dps retards hoping for a drop is an exercise in frustration.
Priest is at 8/20 after the first week of attempts, I think I'll give up next reset if I don't 20/20 right away.

I just want shinies/title really, even though I'm never going to use the title. It's alright though, nothing special about something almost every player has. I'm prolly just gonna chill out til WoD and farm for the inevitable goldsink mount. I wonder if they'll ever make a flying travelers mount (like the mammoth/yak)

You can re-run SoO on difficulties other than LFR until every boss up to Nazgrim has dropped a Secret for you. Been there, done it. I have killed the first 8 bosses in SoO HC (what used to be normal) on Saturday (got four secrets - don't remember off which bosses), did the first four again on HC yesterday, got another secret.

Yeah, I got a few bosses in before servers going down with no luck either, oh well!

I wanted to say that there was some sort of hidden continuation of the Black Prince buff that was applied to characters that had been on the quest from date X, where X was a long time ago. I myself noticed that after 6.02 hit I got Titan Runestones on my Monk for nearly every boss I killed and finished up the cloak later that week, and there were several others in the LFR group that seemed to be having similar golden streaks of luck.

Of my various characters my enhances rotation stayed pretty decent after the squish although you wind up having to hard cast LB a bit more frequently for max DPS than we used to but I am pretty okay with that. I am not sure how it scales to level 100 but at least as of now I am about where I would expect to be on the DPS charts in raids for the gear level I have.

What's your go to for info? Hadn't even thought of hard casting LBs, seemed kinda against the spec lol.

After waiting 10 years for aussie servers, 24 hours is a walk in the park.

just throw another shrimp on the barbie and crack open a Fosters and you'll get your servers before you know it

Been going to some of the mmo-champion class forums and a few other sites. Seems like the recommendation is hard casting LB at three charges of maelstrom weapons. The damage LB does with the nature damage buffs up makes LB a much larger chunk of our damage than it once was. I tend to just play it normal and shoot my LB when its instant or near instant but apparently max damage mode winds up direct casting LB much more than we used to.

I guess I'm about 70/30 on my QB controversy now. Hunter vs rogue. Enjoying both, and each has their downsides but man, is it nice to not have to treat every trash pack like a goddamn raid boss. That's probably the biggest deciding factor right there.

I like rogue on the bosses mostly because of all the tricks to avoid mechanics (cos, feint, shadowstep, etc) while watching other melee die in whatever I'm purposefully standing in. There's just more tricks to use that make me feel more smarter. Catalyst: Red casting? Yeah, I'll just go ahead and COS so the retards who don't move don't kill me. And it's fun to level because of the talent combo of boosted stealth damage + cloak and dagger for 40 yard teleport nuclear ambushes. (if you haven't tried that combo, holy shit you are missing the best part of rogue. Sadly, useless on bosses) But it still sucks on bosses with lots of low HP adds that for some fucking reason aren't being killed by ranged faster than you can even move to melee them.

But hunter for the most part is what I imagine a good bidet splashing after a sloppy dump on a hot day must feel like. Sure, you are constantly made to move out of crap or handle some dumb mechanic - but at least you aren't ever stuck staring at the boss from just out of range while the goddamn tank has it planted in a sea of bullshit.

I guess it's a question of choosing a difficulty setting. One that changes with each boss.

Example: Malkorak, Blackfuse. Rogue? Tunnel boss. Hunter? Loads of bullshit. But the opposite is true more often.

My experience with enhance in 6.0.2 is that thanks to how Echo of the Elements works the number of times I cast LB without 5 stacks of MW is so significantly low that I don't even worry about it.

EotE procs so frequently that by the time you take advantage of the proc, there is a very good chance your cooldown on one of your 4 primary cooldown abilities is over so you just use one of those and wait for 5 stacks of MW.

My 90s are warrior, warlock and shaman and the only spec with more depth and fun gameplay than my enhance shaman is my protection warrior.

I hear what you are saying about LB being a bigger chunk of our damage but one thing to keep in mind is that those theory crafting sites are basing a lot of their guides on the simulations and the sims to my understanding all use stationary Patchwerk style boss encounters. If you are stationary you can get away with casting LB with partial MW stacks but my understanding of raid design in WoD is that stationary boss encounters will be the exception.

Yup and the level 90 game is really freaking wacky right now so it remains to be seen how it shakes out once things restabilize at level 100. I will say of all my characters I like the flow of my enhance shamans rotation better than any of my others. They may need some numbers tweaking here or there but overall it works and flows pretty well and I do good damage.

Any takes on the beta ret paladin or is just poop still?

I know a couple people playing ret paladins and they seem to enjoy it although they say its a bit of HIT ALL OF THE THINGS with all the procs banging out constantly.
