One thing that's pretty annoying is for shadow priests and elemental shaman, some of their gear has spirit on it which wasn't changed the way hit was for other gear.

On my ele sham only jewelry kept Spirit. Are you saying visible armor kept it?

I have to say that playing my ele sham is a weird experience right now. Before the patch ele used to be a huge burst class with ezmode top the charts aoe. Now our aoe is middling at least for burst aoe and we don't really burst single target that hard in comparison to before. However, because of the new mastery it seems like every fight I'll start middle of the pack dps wise then slowly rise to spot 2-5. Spot one of course being reserved for the fury warrior. Such a complete reversal to how the class played before. Also having a passive effect (the mastery) being 40 percent of my overall damage feels weird as a casting spec.

The way I play my Mage is like that Vimeseh. It takes me about 30 seconds into Garrosh Mythic to finally get to 3rd or 4th spot in DPS. Another Mage is first at 24k, Warrior at 22k, Warlock 20k, me at 17k. Though my iLVL keeps climbing every day. Im 575 on my Mage right now, but I dont have very many Best in Slots, nor do I have my 4 piece set. Going to fix that before next week. Im just seriously hoping mythic gear lasts pretty far into the expansion. Its a shame that the Mythic Heirloom weapons eventually even out with their counterparts. At lvl 100, they are supposedly the same stats as a Flex Heirloom.

Mythic is ilvl 566, plus 20 if you upgrade it to 586.

586 is the ilvl of Spires of Arak quest drops. So improved Mythic should last you until the last zone/level 96+ dungeons.

(if you are lucky with a Warforged drop, you get to outlast all outdoor content, except the handful of last quests who have blue rewards)

*** DISCLAIMER: I haven't played in beta, I'm just looking at WoWhead data ***

Is mythic gear upgradeable 5 times instead of the four on my heroic? Other wise it's an additional +16 right?

I stand corrected, I'm still confused with old improvements during 5.0/5.1 which I remember being +5 ilvl/improve . So basically, it's Spires of Arak material.

Outdoor zones quests ilvl:

1st zone: 512-517
Gorgorond: 522-531 (LFR)
Talador: 545-560 (Normal/Improved LFR/heroic/Improved normal)
Spires of Arak: 568-586 (Mythic/Heroic Improved/Mythic improved)
Nagrand: 587-602 (Warforged Mythic improved)

This'll be the first time I actually have better gear than the first quest greens of an expansion as I've always quit WoW halfway through the previous expansion. I returned to WoW in order to prepare for WoD and decide on a class to play, and patch 6.0.2 made SoO so easy that I've pugged my way to ilvl 574 in two weeks. If anyone hasn't yet, definitely use the new group finder thing to at least pug HC Garrosh for an heirloom weapon that will remain BiS throughout the entire WoD leveling process. It's a cool feature and I expect pugging of normal and heroic raids to become extremely common in WoD.

You know, I'm liking BM. I loved it in Vanilla and BC, and I even used some little used talents back then to boost BM further just for RP purposes (I didn't raid so it wasn't as if it gave a damn). Think I'll just stick with it through to 100. Once I get comfy at max level I might try experimenting in raids with Lone Wolf MM.

Oh, and I fucking love the fetch glyph!

I'm an ilevel 550 Mage and I can't even get an invite to any normal SoO raid using the group finder. Wish I had the luck you guys had.

I have an undergeared alliance rogue looking for a garrosh kill. If anyone can hook me up add me(Bain#1386). My kick is bound and my DPS isn't -that- bad ;p

Normal as in the old flex? Or normal as in the new heroic? If the latter you still need some more flex gear to get that ilvl up a bit. Flex gear is 540 + 16 so should be able to get to 556 easily and if you have the cloak, even higher.

At ilvl 502 you should be ignored. Getting higher is SO trivial.
Timeless isle - 496 for all non-weapon slots, one easy 535 for slot of your choice
Blasted Lands quests - ilvl 515-540 rewards.
HC Scenario - 1 guaranteed ilvl 518 (?) reward
Shado-Pan gear for gold - ilvl 522, almost all slots
UBRS - 550, several slots
SOO LFR - 528, all slots
Add +8-16 ilvls to each of these if you farm coins
You can also grind BGs for 550 ilvl for all slots, though I'm not sure how long that takes after the patch

There's really no excuse to be below 520 or so if you want to raid Normal/HC.

I just returned to WoW after a years long break. Hunter is a new L90. I was actually looking to skip gearing out for the sole reason that everything will be in the bin pretty soon. Not getting an Heirloom won't be the end of the world, but it would have been handy.

Just buy an HC carry, it's only 5-8k on most servers, doesn't matter how shit your gear is then. Even 8k is peanuts if you remember you're buying a weapon that will last you the entire levelling process and into the level 100 dungeons (or crafted, which will besignificantlymore than 8k). Means you can enchant it and carry that enchant the entire 90-100 journey too. IMO

Could even just buy a normal carry if you're cash strapped, by 100 they're all the same ilvl anyway (the heirlooms).

edit: I managed to get one of each weapon type into normal (and luckily got the staff on the caster) and got the 2h axe and the bow on hc as I had warrior and hunter at a decent ilvl. But I bought the HC carry for my enhance shaman so he had 2 axes, and may do same for my rogue so he has 2 daggers...or I'll just level him as combat if I'm feeling cheap.

That's a pretty damned good idea. I can probably grind out the gold in just a few days.

Also remember to grab the Dwarven Bunker/War Mill building for your garrison while leveling, since it doubles your chance of having your quest rewards bump up to Purple quality, which can get you some upgrades earlier than expected in the leveling process.
