There's a spot in Shadow Moon valley with instant spawning mobs that drop lots of greens and grey vendor trash (also if you have trade post rank 2 you can get auction modules which go for 600-2000g+ depending on the module)

Bring a bodyguard to max out it's rep.

This is kind of an exploit so don't expect it to last very long.

It's fixed already =p

If you're going for bodyguard rep, there's a cave in frostfire (northern ish central) that has these eggs that spawn adds when you run across them. Instant respawn for the most part. Can AOE 50 to a 100 pretty easily and cap out your bodyguard reps in an afternoon. Leorajh is mah Wakandan with that table :3

Oh shit, thanks for the tip. I was literally just looking for the best places to farm some rep for the bodyguards like 5 mins ago. I remember exactly where you're talking about, too. Time to go before they nerf it lmao

Prot warriors at least have quite a few ways we can lower our damage intake if necessary to help out the healing situation. Shield block and barrier off the top of my head. Then we have Ravage for 30% parry, Demo Shout, Wall. If you spec into Victory Rush you can holster that and use it if you take a spike of damage. I don't know the other classes well enough to know if they have similar skills but I'm sure a healer can tell a good warrior from a bad one.
Monks have a ton of active mitigation tools, even Zen Meditation if properly used can save so much healer's mana, it's unbelievable. Normally I have Guard, Shuffle+Purifying Brew to juggle, Elusive Brew when I want to be untouchable, Dampen Magic to piss on casters, a 5s duration AE stun which is a large breathing room for the healer and a fuckton of self healing (I usually do half of a healer). I also can CC one mob without issues (Paralysis has no cast time and only 15s cd, short range tho) and ranged pull / kite large packs of melee mobs. I can also AE interrupt with glyphed Flame Breath. Ox Statue redesign alone is a CC that works on CC immune mobs, it's pretty much godlike on certain pulls, where you can keep some mobs busy until the group has dispatched the most dangerous one.
Monk tools are many and useful, also if you're like me and don't play with Serenity to cheese shuffle duration, but with Chi Explosion for deeps, you can do up to 35k dps in large AE pulls.

Also, touch of death. Oh gawd, I love that skill. And Trascendence, to LoS pull everything in 3 clicks.

If you're not interested in collecting pets or something like that, and aren't a PvPer, I'm not sure what you're supposed to fill more than a couple of hours a day with in WoD. Raid nights aside, there just doesn't seem to be any character-improving content that's available "ad libitum." It's all gated behind a timewall or a daily allowance, or rewards toys and cosmetics. Once finished with heroics, which took a week, I can't see what I'm supposed to be doing. They took away the justice/valor grind, they essentially removed professions, and reputations no longer award anything useful. I can do my CM daily, I can roll my missions, and that's the extent of it.

I played WoW last year right after SOO released and I don't remember there being much of substance other than kill celestials / clear SOO weekly. I don't know what you're expecting here -- what could Blizzard add to keep you entertained 4+ hours a day that isn't a ridiculous grind for their majority playerbase? Either the reward is trivial and you'd feel dumb "wasting your time" on it, or the reward would be serious, and the 90 percent of their players who don't play 4+ hours a day would be cranky.

I get your point: you want to play a fuckton and be rewarded for time spent. Do you really think that's Blizzard's design goal right now, though? Do you think it should be?

Whoever posted that fishing bot several pages back (the one on github: Coolfish), it worked great. I was babysitting it so I wouldn't get canned by a GM, but so far so good.

I went from 100-525 and it took like 5 hours..... now I get a skillup every 10 or so casts. Fucking shitty system.

I think the weakness, such as it is, with the WoD model is that in the past people could log in on the weekend queue up for dungeons and scenarios ad nauseum and grind through a whole mess of quests and whatnot to get their Valor max of the week in a big binge. Later they could do something similar with a bunch of overlapping LFR queues.

Right now the absolute main path to upgrades and improvements involves the Garrison which is not an activity that can be timeshifted into a gaming binge. Sure you can queue up a couple days worth of workorders for your buildings if you already have a minimum threshold of things already accomplished but you can't manage your followers unless you pop online for a couple mins every few hours.

The game is now meant to log in, doing some Garrison stuff and a dungeon, then log out. However I find myself doing small things several times a day and probably getting a bit more entertainment out of it as a result.

Has Bm i honestly love to cheese shuffle with serenity. Brings me over 2 minutes of stagger and i can focus more easely on the action going on around me / positioning.

That said it really is pretty good practice for dungeon running because its like one derp fight after another with people standing in fire and learning to deal with it.
I've been surprised by the AI of the bodyguards/temp pets. My bodyguard does run to the back of the mob at the instant it starts to channel any uninterruptible frontal attack where it's not going to turn.

(actually, it's an artefact of the AI system where pets place themselves on back if they're not the focus of the mob, and those attacks temporarily drop target, so Illona "assumes" she's no longer the tank. But it almost feels like she knows tanking)

The huge annoyance doing this with my boomkin trying to get gold is boomkins have shitty interupts on very long cool downs. I have one 45 second interrupt and another on a minute long cool down. So the healers are a huge issue simply because boomkin are really not made for interrupting things like that.
Can't talk about the gold, but for silver, the threshold and cooldown on the heal is specifically set up so that you do need to DPS down the healer between the time it tries to heal itself up and the second heal. Being able to interrupt heal twice is "not the right way".

I'm pretty happy with this so far -- I'm chilling at 100 iLvl 628 or some such just casually doing heroics. The change to the satchel was awesome, got a bpet worth 3k earlier. I'm a little sad that heroics feel trivialized now when I get some solid players -- but I joined a group earlier that wiped 3x on the bird in Skyreach because the mechanics of hiding from Quills and not killing birds on dust piles was just so hard. Any mechanic that doesn't involve the tank (me) is really hit and miss. I guess that means its tuned pretty decently.

I wish I could queue for Mythic Dungeons, though. Maybe that's what the Challenge Modes are for, haha.

The quests in SMV and general stuff in and around Karabor etc really do give you a feel for how badass Argus was before the legion invaded. I can only hope that when we eventually head there that it lives up to the hype that precedes it. For all my criticism about Blizzard completely ignoring the Alliance races and even forgetting they exist *cough* Gilneas *cough* they really have done an excellent job of fleshing out the Dranei with this expansion. I think we now have more info about them than we do any other race besides human

Yes for silver that is correct but for some parts of gold I believe you have to deal with two healers at the same time one I can lock down and kill no problem but when you start having to deal with multiples it is more of an issue. I eventually wound up having to switch one talent to that mighty bash thing for a second hard interupt.

I totally agree after the old burning crusade nearly ignores the existence of draenai for as far as the story line of it went other than a couple minor quest hubs its nice to see an expansion that actually handles them pretty well and helps flesh them out. Now the worgen need some loving because they are probably the most totally ignored race in the game. I think they have a couple tiny outposts in cata and that is it. Its pretty embarassing how badly they are totally ignored.

The one spot I remember on Gold was like round 6 I think with the 2 healers and all the little adds, I dropped a trap on the little guys so the healers would heal them and burned 1 down (used interrupt on focus healer) this makes the other healer heal the small guys instead of your target. I honestly don't remember if there was another wave that needed 2 interrupts. I know that wave 6 and 10 were the only ones that were even kind of difficult when I did it a couple weeks ago (618 ilvl).

The follower mission person in the Garrison on Alliance side is Gilnean but you wouldn't know it since she is in human form.

Surprised they don't add a Gilneas architecture section to Stormwind at least. Rather absurd given that the goblins have pretty much been ubiquitous for the horde since Cata even to the extent of displacing the older Horde races. You could be forgiven for remembering that Tauren and Undead exist for example.
