Fallen Crusader is +20% (25% for dps) strength and has 80-85% uptime as long as you're actively hitting a target. Expensive enchants only boost a secondary stat by 500 and have something like 60% uptime.

So yeah, DK is still miles ahead there. Of course the downside is that we're balanced around always having our runeforge, while other classes are mostly likely balanced around lazy shits who never enchant their weapons at all.
Do you know offhand if the Gargoyle runeforge is better than others for tanking?

Do the DK weapon enchants come automatically as you level? My DK is only 69, I think, but I think he has the same runeforge shit he had like 10 levels ago.

I don't think you can CC a target if it's tapped.
Something is going on for sure. I got pvp flagged and killed while afk in front of HM.
Yeah, not sure what the deal is then. I had DP rolling on it, and then all of a sudden it was a sheep and I was PVP flagged, and an Alliance mage went running by.

Maybe it was just a race condition exposing a bug in the software, like we both cast at the same time or something, and weirdness happened.

I don't remember when we get what honestly, I want to say you get the last one at least by 80 (the end of WOTLK) but it might be earlier. The only one you really want for DK is Fallen Crusader unless you tank (Stoneskin Gargoyle). They essentially just made them insane stats and never gave us anything better for runeforging..

It's kind of awesome but shitty at the same time. They are the best weapon enchants but we got them like 30 levels ago :\

Fallen Crusader for all specs (except Razorice for Frost offhand). The other runeforges might as well just be removed, Blizzard has apparently forgotten that they exist at all.

I didn't know elitists still existed in the current WoW landscape. The number of people who hate LFR simply because it lets super casuals mindlessly walk through the raid is astounding to me. Not like LFR is the first instance of welfare epics Blizzard has ever implemented.

The real reason to hate LFR is because it's soul crushing and boring after run #2. The SOO months were dark days.

It is incredibly boring. I was DPSing on my healer with a friend of mine because there was 0 damage going out. Free 640s though, and some trinkets! Woo~

Speaking of that, I love that the proving grounds requirement for heroics is actually working. Most of my alts are in one of those 'auto-invite everybody, never actually say a word to them' guilds, and I've heard a lot of complaining from scrubs about how they've failed to get silver 10 times or so now. It would be fantastic if they added a requirement to LFR as well, even if only bronze.

On the other side of it, I have a friend who wanted to try healing for the first time ever. It took him 3 tries to beat silver, but he said that it basically forced him to learn how to heal, so he was glad for it.

I think some people are dissipointed because LFR was genuinely a challenge for some folks in SOO and now... well, its unlikely that any raid would actually fail. I've seem some credible posts where people for whom LFRisthe endgame are a little demoralized by how easy it is and how they could pretty much AFK there way through it.

Ya but why did they implement it? I am all for tourist mode, but to have a raid as faceroll as lfr this early is stupid. It devalues tier 1 crafted, devalues all these fun heroics and challenge modes they spent a long time making and is just overall a silly thing to add welfare epics like that this early. All the non raiders should be having fun progressing through heroics to some challenge modes and doing some crafting and invasions and Apexis gear, but no instead they are funneled into a soulless boring lfr experience. I just wonder whether it isn't hurting the non raider game rather than helping it.

The alternative to the faceroll LFR is a more challenging LFR. The target audience won't suddenly become better players. Instead, it will just take a few wipes until the tenacity buff (or whatever it's called) stacks up to the point where it's faceroll again. Be glad you can go in and finish in 20 minutes without having to deal with it.

That's not really the alternative I would go with. If I was head honcho at blizz I would have set the LFR loot at the heroic dungeon warforged level. That would have been a better spot to put it imo. Means challenge gear is still the best for non raiders since that stuff is the hardest to get, and crafted gear is still better but limited to 3 slots, and dungeon gear is still comparable if it is either warforged itself or a particularly well itemized piece.

I just think challenge should be the vehicle they use to give non-raiders good gear, since it maintains its difficulty fairly well through an xpac, it is pretty fun imo, and it gives people who don't want to raid something challenging to do and feel rewarded, which is something wow has been missing a bit imo.

Alternatively I think they should just peg challenge gear at -6 ilvls bellow whatever the current normal mode raid loot is and keep that ratio through the xpacs life. Maybe that is the best solution, since it maintains the dungeons value for a long time and never makes nonraiders feel like their best option for gear is to do soulless lfr.

You're missing the point though - those people that only do LFR don't want a challenge. They literally want to queue up and get loot while still feeling like they are "raiding". Just accept it and move on, it's really not a big deal and has been around for quite a while now.

Speaking of DK's the level 55 restriction is coming off soon.

Update: Upon looking into making this change, we discovered that a few client-side adjustments would need to go through in order for it to work. Therefore, our new plan is to remove the level 55 requirement for Death Knight creation in an upcoming content patch.
Also lowering the cost of the outpost garrison buildings.

We?re planning to make some changes to the Garrison Zone Outposts, to reduce the costs necessary to change out the building you initially chose while questing through the zone, and also allow you to earn the unique follower associated with alternate building choices.

Specifically, these changes will be:

The cost to change your Garrison Outpost building in Gorgrond, Talador, and Spires of Arak reduced to 5,000 gold
The cost to change your Garrison Outpost building in Nagrand reduced to 500 gold
Changing your Garrison Outpost building in a zone will also grant access to the building-specific questline for that zone, including the building-specific follower
So many changes to profession recipes lately, I guess they didn't bother testing any of that shit in beta.

But my alt DK has gotten 3 to upgrade to epic by level 93 already (Qiana, Shelly, and Blook) and two of which have epic mount

Ya but why did they implement it?
Because their raiding tour begins and ends with LFR. Sprinkle in some garrison loot and random world boss loot, and they are happy.

Besides that, crafted is just too much of a PITA to fuck with for people who raid Normals and above, so no worries if it devalues that loot since it essentially has no value to begin with to a raider.
