Honestly I will probably do the same for the same kind of reasons. I have been streaming my leveling in classic here and there just for shits and giggles. And although I would love to make millions of dollars to sit down and play WoW 15 hours a day saying "Hey it's ya boi Asmongold" as I react to youtube videos yelling out "true true" I have no expectation of that ever happening nor would I know what to do when I got bored of the game. Still seeing this like Methodjosh showing his bounty board and making 2-3k a pop to watch shitty Amazon movie previews does make me jealous of how much these twat waffles get paid.

I mean think about it Asmongold is making enough money that he was able to purchase a thot streamer to be his personal fleshlight in his trash filled putrid room.

Lootwhoring is as old as RPGs and DND dude. I just had a full grown man get kicked out of our weekly DND session because he didn't get some item and constantly bitches about loot. Its like the only thing he cares about and this is tabletop DND. Its the very reason why the Munchkin's board game EXISTS. rofl.

There is gonna be loot drama no matter what you choose, maybe its not that way for ten mans and 25 mans, but when you throw 40 people in there and decrease loot by orders of magnitude like wow was in vanila, yeah youre gonna get some drama. Certain people just feel entitled.

It looks like EQdkp+ does a lot of the same stuff. I was digging through Kamien's github repo last week. There is an in-game addon for WoW that can take attendance as well for eqdkp.

Which is why you have clearly stated loot rules and easily accessible documentation. Even if someone bitches you can easily shut them down bc they know why they’re not getting the +gooder ring.

All of the dramatic loot stories I’ve heard lacked one or both or these requisites.

At the end of the day its a fucking job to these dudes, just like our jobs btu worse at times. Streamers like him are rare. for every Asmond there is 1000s streamers struggling, putting in their 12+ hours a day every day because if they dont, or miss a few days, they viewership and subs plummets. In all honesty twitch as a business model sucks for streamers. Sure it makes a few spergs like him rich, but at the same time at the expense of thousands that stream their ass off and barely scrape by.

I really liked the loot rules I had for my guild back in the day.

Each class had a class leader that managed a "loot wheel".

-Randomized initial order of a specific class
-Top of list gets priority on class specific item
-If they opt to take the item, they're moved to the bottom of the list
-Able to pass to next person, if next person takes it, top person stays on top, person who takes is moved to the bottom
-Everyone in attendance moves up one rank
-If you're absent, your position is locked in the list
-I kept a spreadsheet to track weekly changes
-Applied to all raids in a week

Non-class specific items were generally open roll to the class priority. Our folks were pretty flexible on this, so whoever wanted it would post their current item, and generally if the person was active, the one with the biggest upgrade would get it, or /roll if there were any disputes.

DKP had all sorts of issues with hoarding if there weren't DKP caps. Loot wheel you can hold out for Stormrage shoulders but you're gonna be gimped not just taking what comes to you.

I only ever had one complaint with this, and it was a person who showed up about 30% of the time so they never moved up the wheel. Well, gotta play, yeah?

Others get sick of games but they cannot switch games because if they do, again their subs and views plummets. You sort of see this with Summit right now. He wants to play the shit out of WOW, and he probabaly will, but at the expense of losing subs and views because his viewers are so conditioned to watch him play his fucking shooters and shit.

As long as retards have more money than they know what to do with people will take it. I have never donated to a stream and I have amazon prime but have never even given someone a sub. If anything I would make a living being a professional hater.

I give out my primes to people I watch. Shit I get a ton of laughs and hours of entertainment when I dont feel liek playing games but want to watch someone play.
