World PvP is fine.
World PvP on a 10k pop server is just punishment.
so world PVP is fine as long as it doesn't result in PVP?
The problem I had with WoW PVP was that it was designed like an afterthought, despite having been the core of the series before. Roughly half the players were your enemy for no particular reason, in fact most of the time the same players would stand next to you peacefully as you accepted and completed quests from neutral factions. And don't you dare attack them here, guards so powerful that you wonder why you're doing these quests in the first place for them will kill you in seconds. There was no reason to go into enemy territory and the claims you could get special rewards for going into more dangerous contested territory from 2003 turned out to be rather misleading - you'd simply not advance past level 20 because every zone was contested except for Elwynn Forest and Westfall in the human half of the eastern continent.
And wow the honor system was fucked up.
