The offer would remove the $1 million cap on membership dues. In an effort to bring a residual system to streaming, the stars also have proposed a formula that would make the lowest names on the call sheet who most need the money the first to be paid.
Deadline revealed Tuesday that a quorum of stars including George Clooney, Emma Stone, Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry and Scarlett Johansson met with SAG leaders
‘A lot of the top earners want to be part of the solution,” the two-time Oscar winner told Deadline. “We’ve offered to remove the cap on dues, which would bring over $50 million to the union annually. Well over $150 million over the next three years. We think it’s fair for us to pay more into the union. We also are suggesting a bottom-up residual structure — meaning the top of the call sheet would be the last to collect residuals, not the first.
This...this is what going full retard looks like. The actor’s union SAG-AFTRA has announced that its members should not dress up as popular characters from struck content for Halloween.
Thus actors who are members of the union will be unable to dress up as most film or TV characters and post those images on social media – no costumes like Barbie, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Wednesday Addams or Marvel superheroes are allowed.
Instead, the guild advised its members to “choose costumes inspired by generalized characters and figures – ghost, zombie, spider, etc.” though figures from non-struck content like animated TV shows are fine.

why are they wearing costumes? arent they supposed to be picketing? because they are on strike? and going as a spider? like an actual spider? The actor’s union SAG-AFTRA has announced that its members should not dress up as popular characters from struck content for Halloween.

i don't know exactly who said it, or where they said it, but someone speaking on behalf of sag-aftra said that the bargaining power of a strike is to not promote a studios product in ANY way and dressing up for halloween falls under that category (somehow)."We told the studios we want more money to play these characters, so don't go doing it for free." Something like that. I'm not saying it's not bizarre or stupid, but that's about the only logic I could twist from it.
