Whatever happens with the Horsemen they seem to have the ability to break free or make their own choices because ArchAngel rebels correct? I can't remember what prompted him or allowed him to change his mind but it seems like I remember him having some change of heart at some point. I really need to go back and read but i've been stuck on all the wars lately.. secret wars, civil war, etc.

Just read through Uncanny X-Force ( was pretty awesome ) and ArchAngel ends up
Hosting something called a Deathseed that all the horsemen have, if Apocalypse dies whoever still has a deathseed gets mindfucked into becoming the next Apocalypse and continuing the humanity purge / mutant rise
Because it's comics though
Of course they kill then resurrect / cure him of it using a Lifeseed
. Good series though, really enjoyed Fantomax since I never heard of the character, but he was easily one of the best parts.

That's one of the reasons why apocalypse prefers willing horsemen in the first place

iirc it's generally only in the XMen cartoons (TAS and Evolution) where the Horsemen are full on brainwashed.

DO NOT, read anything x-force/Fantomex/Psylocke related past this. This is your Terminator1/2, anything past this point will tarnish every character.

Not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but the only story arc I remember topping this was him teleporting a section of someones body (arm?) off and leaving the rest. Was fun when they actually explored the grittier aspects of some of the mutant powers.

You might be thinking of when he teleports his body into bastions arm to save hope and then teleports away taking the arm with him... and then dies. I always loved NC but really enjoyed the above age of apoc version where he is ruthless and brutal.

Didn't realize AoA Iceman was a bad guy, now I feel even better about using his costume in MH, even if he did end up going out like a bitch.

He didn't go out like a bitch, i think b4 xforce invaded, he had a tiny island country full of hookers.
