Actually, there are no gimmicks. It's a pretty good football product with a couple rule changes I really like. Just wish there were more teams.

Eh, I don't think there is enough talent for more teams. While the games aren't awful, it definitely isn't a great product. Maybe as it evolves and they get more players in they can look to expand, but I think for now more teams would just dilute what little talent they do have.

I agree but we can't really compare this to the NFL. Just like college, as long as the talent is comparable and the games are fun, then this should hopefully do well. The NFL isn't the same high quality product from before either. The CBA destroyed the practice system and prevented coaches from installing a better product .
Hopefully this has a chance to continue and builds from here.

I tuned in and watch a bit this weekend. It was enjoyable. Listening in on the coaches and the referees talking to one another is kind of interesting.
The actual game-play that I saw wasn't good, but it sure was entertaining. After two plays, Matt McGloin throws a pick-six and 30 seconds like they have a microphone in his face, "MATT, WTF HAPPENED?!" It was pretty hilarious.

What's up with Seattle having so much interest in this? Nearly 30,000 attendees there versus about 15,000 at the other 3 games.
Man it's hard to watch some of those on-field interviews. Hilarious but very cringe-inducing. I was really feeling bad for McGloin. I'm surprised he didn't just yell "Get the fuck out of my face!"

If the XFL is like B-Movies, then it should be wonderful. It's not the highest paid talent, it doesn't necessarily have the best producers and directors... but it will be honest and true. It will have heart and soul. I prefer B-movies to A-movies.
As I grow older I begin to realize that AAA Hollywood movies are all garbage. I begin to realize that AAA athletes are all bought and paid for and the entire leagues are nothing but politically correct retarded derp-fags.
If the XFL can manage to find the balance between professionalism (He Hate Me is not it) and Americanism (be proud and thankful of the money you earn), then I might become a fan.
