I also barely remember the aughts.

Man I was thinking the exact same thing. I was an 02er from the FOH days. And a lurker for another 2 years before that. I just turned 38. We are hitting that stage where morality is creeping. We weren't all early 20 somethings back in those days so a few folks are hitting 50s and 60s. Then you have inevitable middle age health problems especially and I say this with no malicious intent with a bunch of unhealthy gamers. Cancer, heart disease, etc will hit this forum more and more just because we are all getting older.

It's almost a fascinating deep dive if it wasn't so morbidly depressing. In another 15 years the mean age of the old school forum posters will probably hit 50. Are we all going to still be posting like a bunch of old people yelling at kids to get off my damn lawn as we start dropping one by one?

Ive run into more an more examples an its starting to make me realize I am getting old. I was just thinking of them in no particular order or importance just as they came along.

1. Looking for grey hair - I pulled my first from my scalp a few weeks ago. Most of my friends (ones I grew up with anyway) are already having a lot and some are getting those new wonderful hairlines or in their facial hair.
2. The new hires always seem to be "that high school looking age" when I'm asked to guess how old they are.
3. When its past midnight and I'm wondering why I'm not in bed because I know I'll be yawning and grumpy all the next day. I can only hang past 2 am one or two days if that a week now before completely hating myself.
4. Reading and playing in the dark on the computer actually bothers my eyes now.
5. Some of my favorite movies were made when people I hang out with were born. Same with my a lot of my favorite actors/actresses hitting middle ages or older.
6. Health actually concerns me now. Having random ass health issues and body deciding to scar now rather than heal and show no signs of any mark before now any cut or nik leaves an impression for awhile. I freaking hate this a lot. Since I never really gave much thought on life on living this long (not that I had a high risky lifestyle but just hits one day oh shit I can't walk on campus without being escorted out anymore lol...) Like my diet actually affects me now lol I eat a high cal meal I wanna nap now.
7. I really need to consider retirement and not relying on social security
8. Everyone around me is either getting married, been or having kids. I've been to more weddings this past year than my entire life prior put together..
9. I can not stand how stupid people are now and I feel my temper is shorter than it has ever been when someone doesn't know something I think should be common knowledge. Or when a person of mid 20 something says a trendy word and question why its used. I had a girl say my clothes were fire. I thought it was some opposite day shit. When did cool become hot and hot become fire and random was too long and decide to drop the 'm.'
I can go on an on but I'm sure most will have been repeated.

Oh an to live to see an FF7 remaster. Didn't think this would happen until I had grand kids or something.

I honestly think he just aged really bad. His sister in National Lampoon's Vacation looks like she has aged much better. Either way, I could have done without seeing that photo!

Well yeah, because I was also thinking about how Robert Downey Jr is in Weird Science with him ( small role ) and he looks fine.

Anthony M-H looks like he's pushing 60.

It must have been recently too, because he didn't look so beat up on the Dead Zone and that's just over 10 years ago.

Why would your wife have friends that are like 30 years younger? That seems odd.

Why would you have a wife unless she has friends 30 years younger than me?

Ok that's nasty. Lets make it 20 to be legal.
