This level of the game would be nice.

That video doesn't realy has much to do with photoshop itself, it's like 99% about the dude's drawing skills.
Can you already draw (on paper) the same spiderman that can be seen in the vid ? If so, the photoshop part of the video is nothing too complicated.
If you are getting serious about it, you'll quickly need a wacom tablet too. Well you don't "need" it, but it just makes things much easyer.

I realy liked most of the pictures you posted on the previous pages, but for the last few ones (black and white), the first thing that struck me was that they feel "grey". The whites are grey, the blacks are grey, there is no black and no white. I am by no mean a specialist of b&w photography, I might be completely wrong

Are you using tools like lightroom ? Maybe try to add more contrast or something ?
Hi woot!,

Gave it another shot, let me know what you think of the colors.

Here is a shot with a point and shoot, Sony HX-30V. First time using Lightroom also, turned up the blue a little and a border, not liking the border now..oh well.

Couple of shots I took on a watch forum I frequent. Haven't really shot anything in about a year. Lost access to Photoshop so at some point I need to pick up a copy.

Great shots +1. What are you using for the background / lighting?
Tripod, low light led lamp I found at Lowes plus some fill flash shot straight up from 580EX, and shooting tethered to my laptop for a no-hands approach. The background is a small piece of red cloth on a shoebox that I got from where I used to work. When they got rid of the stat-camera we had a bunch of cloth backgrounds and at some point I cribbed it. Majority of work done was in Lightroom with a final pass from Photoshop. Goofed on the Seiko 55 Fathoms homage. All watch shots are supposed to be at 10:10 so you can see the majority of the face.

Bros, I just accepted a 9 week summer internship at the Flathead Lake Biological Station in Montana and will be doing a lot of work outdoors throughout the Flathead watershed and Glacier National Park. My question is what's a good user friendly, beginners camera setup for a total newb. I will be surrounded by some of the greatest natural beauty in North America and I want to get some good shots. Thanks in advance.

Since this thread gets more traffic that the Product Reviews forum, I'll ask here.

I'm a newb with cameras, so I'm looking for a sub $500, but the closer I can get to $250 on a used camera the better. I'm looking on ebay at Sony NEXs and I'm trying to figure out what other decent Mirrorless cameras are out there. I want something decent that I can work with in post processing, but I don't need aDSLRbecause I wouldn't know what to do with all the features, and I don't want to spend a lot of money.

Currently looking at some of the alpha NEX 3 and NEX 5's on ebay, but I've seen some Nikon J1's that I don't know much about, but they seems to have much lower quality for only $100 or so less.

I recommend looking into Nikon's new series. The D3000 (550), the D5100 (600). D7000 (1K$), D5200 (800), and D3200 at 700. I don't know much about the other brand as I shoot Nikon, it wouldn't hurt to branch out but it is what it is.

The prices I listed are new, I bet you can find some of those under 500. Good luck!

Draegan, check out some of the above. I know you said you didn't want aDSLRbut if you get something entry level at a used price you won't be disappointed.
