I just got back from South Carolina for the Solar Eclipse and here are some of the 600 images I got. Still going thru them. These are straight out of camera with a couple dust marks removed from the real bright ones.

This is one bracket of 9 I took at mid eclipse. With Sony A7Rm2 and Tamron SP 150-600 @600mm and APS-C mode turned on so effective FL=900mm F/11

Forgot to post, I added a new lens to my collection. Found a used and in great condition first gen 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L. Thing is heavy as shit but man does it feel solid, loving the extra distance and the image stabilization over the 70-300mm i'm using (going to hold onto that one for macros though.)

So finally got the 6D in today. Just like they said, like brand new only 2100 actuations. Some scuff marks on bottom of camera but other than that the camera and lens is like brand new. $550 cheaper than retail.

For some reason that deer looking at you made me laugh because I was thinking of that scene from Slither where the infected deer kinda looked like that.

Where was this at and what did you use equip wise?

This weekend were going back up to cabin, hoping to put the 6D through its paces a bit. I wanted to test some shallow DOF panos aka Brenizer Method.

So this weekend I tried the bokeh panorama thing, otherwise known as Brenizer method. Just experimenting with it with my kid. This was taken with a medium format 120mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar. Its actually more like a 85mm f1.5 on a full frame 35mm camera. This shot was about 45 pictures blended in LR and it took about 20 min to stitch, lol.

I should of went wider with the pictures, took 2 more rows of pictures around the kid on each side for more effect. Its fucking hard to keep track where you took pictures after the first 20, lol. I tried it again and I must of missed a row or some shit because it would not even stitch. But its a cool effect, its kind of like taking the picture with a large format, super shallow DOF lens. Im gonna have to experiment some more with this.

This was the moon setting in a field. 3 shots HDR, We had to wait for the moon to set at 3:15 AM so the damned milky way would show up. It was like 37F out too.
rHdJ7ax.jpg

And then the miky way showed up, but the core was like 25 deg below horizon, and the moon still lit up the horizon with a light glow at 4:00 AM so it was a shit time for milky way shots. I guess season is over for N Mich. There is like one more opportunity in late sept, when new moon and core shows up for like 2 hours.

Pretty fucking happy with the 6D though. That was barely visible to naked eye at horizon.

Awesome shots! I love that style of bridges over small creeks.
