Another episode of nothing much really happening. "Spencer and Alexandra travel to America while bad cops and a priest look for Indians" wasn't what I thought this show was.

Reminds me of a hilarious bit of woke retardation in history the last few years.

When the Spanish where first exploring Mexico some wrote about a large tower made out of human skulls. Of course the Spanish didn't have nice things to say about discovering the unimaginable amounts of human sacrifice the Aztecs where partaking in.

Flash forward to modern woke history and retarded woke historians say what the Spanish wrote about back then is nothing more than outlandish racist ramblings meant to disparage the poor indigenous people. No evidence of anything the Spanish wrote, just pure colonial xenophobia.

Until during an excavation in Mexico a tower of skulls exactly as described by the Spanish was discovered;

The woke historical depictions are probably a compromise to allow Taylor Sheridan to get these shows made and streamed. Just ruins the vibe.

Asked the wife yesterday if she even cared about this show anymore. We both officially gave up on this.

Now how's she supposed to survive this?

Only thing I can think of - not because its a good idea or a realistic idea, but because its the specific flavor of nonsense this show loves - some Injuns are gonna come prancing over the snow like Legolas in LOTR and rescue her ass but then treat her very respectfully and deliver her to super cowboy.

That, or super cowboys train just happens to pass through that valley and stops in the middle of nowhere to pick her up.

Its a dumb show but I wanna see how dumb they have to get to wrap it all up. Not hate watching per se, more like LOL watching.

0% chance she survives this in the real world. Also 0% chance someone just drives off into the wilderness without a thought of reaching the next fuel stop, but here we are.

I wouldn't say 0% chance in the real world. When she woke up it was generally clear weather which means all the locals will be out and about. That isn't bad weather for them, just weather, so they get on with their lives. I know it feels like rural areas are empty but even in remote rural areas if you're on a main road you wouldn't wait too long to have someone come across you. Just look at all the traffic between Paradise Valley and Livingston in the show, even in shitty weather. My guess for the show is the car is just over the rise from Sheridan which coincidentally is on the Sioux Falls to Livingston route (today's I-90) that Spencer is on.

I guess it really depends where they are, which of course they don't show. What alarms me is that apparently the guy fell down and died like 50 feet from the car, suggesting they are completely unprepared for how cold it was. Which is weird since they are from Chicago where it gets cold as shit.

All we know about this family is that one of them makes it. Alexandra could die and Spencer could die, and the father of John Dutton could be the kid in Emma's belly, or it could be the kid in Alexandra's belly, or Alexandra could die and Spencer remarries and has another kid that is the father of John Dutton. Alexandra is not safe, lots of people have died and it appears these shows are more like tragedies than a story of a family overcoming.

Yeah Sheridan has become real one note. Which is pretty understandable given the sheet volume of shows writing and producing he is doing.

Sicario wind river and hell or highwater are all amazing pieces and when he has time to focus really delivers.

I agree. I'm guessing they meet up in Sheridan making the stakes even higher when they get to the station in Livingston. The idea that they just drove blindly into the storm after being told that there were no gas stations is pretty preposterous as is the idea that the other two froze to death while she slept comfortably in the back seat just because she had one blanket and she didn't wake up when they ran out of gas and he decided to try to go for help.

Good end to the series, they could have done without the indian girl drama though.

Indian girl story was kind of anticlimactic. Spencer coming in like John Wick was what we've been waiting two seasons for and he didn't disappoint. The ending was a little sappy but I was afraid Spencer was going to marry the blonde and live happily ever after which would have been worse. The dirty old man was gross. I appreciate the tits which are few and far between on TV these days but even so I could have done without that whole storyline.

I'd put this show below 1886 but still much better than Yellowstone.

Just wrapped it up. I thought the actor for Spencer was awesome.

So what’s next? 1958? 😀

I liked this more than 1883, but I hope some internet person makes a version completely without the indian storyline, just excise it completely. It adds nothing to the story and doesn't link to the main story at all, you'd never realize it at all except some episodes would be shorter.

1883 you couldn't excise the Indian storyline, it's integrated in the main story. Also one of the reasons I didn't like 1883 as much.

They shoehorned in the Indian story because she is the grandmother of the tribal chief who is the main antagonist of Yellowstone. Next show is supposed to be 1944 but not sure how they do that one when they already showed the future for Spencer in this one.

I thought the only good characters in this one were Spencer and Hellen Mirran.

If you didn’t watch the last episode, stop here…

Ok, I’m all for suspending disbelief for the sake of a good story, but we’re supposed to believe the dude recognizes his wife (who is supposed to be on another continent) from a moving train in the snow and jumps off , and then the train backs up to pick them up? And everything that happens next is somehow even less believable

I generally enjoy everything Taylor Sheridan, but he clearly turned this IP over to hacks to wrap this story up before moving on to the next thing

It's honestly more gay he killed Alex, that's probably the only thing I'm genuinely pissed off at. Though at the same time, the dance scene at the end was romantic, so not so bad.

Or even more egregious is they are told there are no towns ahead, meaning no gas. Response...lets charge forward into ADVENTURE!
