I hate Dilfer because he acts like winning a Super Bowl makes him qualified to critique any quarterback who hasn't won a Super Bowl. That Ravens team won in spite of Dilfer, not because of him.

Flacco is miles ahead of Sanchez. That isn't to say Flacco is good, because he isn't, but he at least has talent when it comes to throwing a football down field. He just makes dumb ass decisions. Sanchez doesn't just make bad decisions but he can't throw worth a shit even when he tries to put the ball in the right place.

From a top 5 pick to around tenth. I fucking hate the Jets.

That is probably my least enjoyable victory in my entire football history.

I love with Young gets that "I was way better than you were" look on his face when getting in an argument with Trent.

That said, Dilfer is my favorite player ever. I was a little kid living in Fresno when he was in college there and he had a lot to do with me getting into football. I think he's a pretty great analyst personally. I missed all this Sanchez stuff though.

Sanchez is definitely doing his best Alex Smith impression. High in the draft, show flashes of being good, but generally horrible. As soon as he gets Benched and the Jets fire Ryan and hire Chip Kelly he will become at least serviceable. He just makes horrible fucking decisions. I genuinely feel bad for Jets fans because that entire team is a clusterfuck.

Sanchez will be there next year, and he will probably be their starter(or they draft Geno Smith hah) if Ryan is still the coach. I really am under the impression thAt Ryan and the jets QB coach are the main reasons for Sanchez regressing so much. Their offensive scheme is shit, Tebow ordeal was beyond stupid as fuck, and they have 0 legitimate receivers right now it seems( oh yeah and their top receiver hates Sanchez).

So yes, he is terrible, but he wasn't this bad 2 years ago. Can't place all the blame on him.

And I just watched the post-game, and realized that I basically said the same thing as Dilfer did lol. Steve and Dilfer get so pissed sometimes haha. Steve is definitely the most fun to watch analyst

I used to think Steve was overmatched as a TV analyst when he first started. You know exactly what I mean. Some guys just can't form coherent thoughts and deliver them on the air. He looked completely overwhelmed; especially so when you listened to his delivery. It was like he was stumbling over his own words. But I've made a complete 180 on Steve Young. What I misinterpreted as lack of ability to communicate is in fact his honesty coming through.

I mean honest as in, "FOR FUCKSAKES WHAT THE FLYING FUCK DID I WATCH OUT THERE? WHO ARE THESE MOUTHBREATHERS COLLECTING A PAYCHECK WHILE FUCKING UP THE GAME I PLAYED. YOU SEE THAT SHIT?" It's like he has such disdain for shitty play that can't hide it like some ex-player analysts do. I don't want him to be impartial. I want him to say what what we are all saying when they see shitty football played by shitty players. He's like the inner cynical asshole fan in all of us speaking out.

I like Dilfer as an analyst because he presents thoughts rationally and he doesn't think he's king of the world. Plus, the dude played in pretty much every city and every town, and with many systems.

I can't stand Young. It might be just me, but he comes across as a pompous ass a tad too ready to judge versus analyze. Unlike Dilfer who remains humble, He seems to have forgotten his Tampa Bay days, and needs a reminder that before he went to Jerry Riceland and rode pine behind Montana, he sucked balls.

I really hope the Jets start Tebow next week, but I can't see that happening. I think Sanchez must have incriminating photos of Rex Ryan or something. I have no idea how the guy is still starting when week after week he's just been awful. Tebow might suck, too, but the Jets know what they have in Sanchez.

I was laughing with the last Jet comedy of errors play in the game. Hopefully that'll be the straw that finally plants Sanchez on the bench.

Young calls in to KNBR (bay area sports radio) every week and it's the highlight of my podcast week.
