I need exactly 10 more points out of Demaryius Thomas, Dennis Pitta, and Eli 'Tardface' Manning to make a few extra hundred dollars.

Please, Eli, don't Eli me.

To clarify, if Dallas beats Washington next week and the Vikings lose, Dallas wins the tie-breaker with Minnesota due to records against common opponents.

Minnesota's fate has almost nothing to do with Dallas now that they lost today.

Because Dallas lost, we can't win a 9-7 tie-breaker with any team (except the Bears), so we need to beat the Packers next week AND either the Giants to lose one of their final two AND/OR for the Cowboys to beat Washington next week. I don't trust Philly or the Girls, so hopefully the Ravens can get that done this afternoon

BTW here's the fumble rules, and I am more confused than before.

The distinction between a fumble and a muff should be kept in mind in considering rules about fumbles. A fumble is the loss of player possession of the ball. A muff is the touching of a loose ball by a player in an unsuccessful attempt to obtain possession.

A fumble may be advanced by any player on either team regardless of whether recovered before or after ball hits the ground.

A fumble that goes forward and out of bounds will return to the fumbling team at the spot of the fumble unless the ball goes out of bounds in the opponent's end zone. In this case, it is a touchback.

On a play from scrimmage, if an offensive player fumbles anywhere on the field during fourth down, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If any player fumbles after the two-minute warning in a half, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If recovered by any other offensive player, the ball is dead at the spot of the fumble unless it is recovered behind the spot of the fumble. In that case, the ball is dead at the spot of recovery. Any defensive player may recover and/or advance any fumble at any time.

A muffed hand-to-hand snap from center is treated as a fumble.
I *think* NO is OK.

Some NFL rules are fucking retarded.

Dallas win + Vikings loss does mean Dallas wins the tiebreaker with Minnesota. You asked if the Vikings get in the playoffs if Dallas loses and the Vikings win...the Vikings only get in with that scenario if the Giants lose one of their next two games.

A one way tiebreaker! Diabolical! I get it now though, I may have started drinking(alone) when it looked like Brady was going to sabotage me.

So, I finally get to go all hatred all the time now for my rooting needs next week. No playoff hopes, fantasy over, it is time to let the hate flow.

For anyone that cares, if the Vikings lose next week, they would then need 2 NYG losses, 1 CHI loss, and for the Redskins to beat Dallas in order to back into the playoffs.

That Bengals game was intense. What a defensive battle. Most satisfying win I've witnessed in my Bengals watching liftetime.

Here you go, Grimm.

Except if Dallas wins, they win the NFC East. They're not in contention for the wild card at that point. Basically this week's game didn't matter for the NFC East division title at all. The Redskins/Cowboys game next week decided it either way.

I want the Ravens to lose as much as the next guy, but that was a TD. Can't believe that was reversed.
