Can we start back up the AP vs Barry Sanders drama? That was fun. Also, is the dude that was all like "call me when AP has a 2000 yard season" here?
That was Springbok. The same dude who was saying how embarrassed we'd all be if we don't refer to AP as "AD" in real life.

Only problem with adding Cathan is him and Skip would just agree on everything.
I hate skip bayless. I even made a rant about how much I hate him on FoH. Sports analyst on a show like that would be a great fucking job though. Put on a suit and talk about Football all the time? Get paid to watch football and talk about it some more? Look up stats and try to connect some dots? Fuck I could say shit like, "and Romo is nearly undefeated in the month of December" or "Eli Manning has not thrown a pick in the first minute of the 3rd quarter during an away game since 2008..." or "Bengals defense has held opposing QB's to 7 fantasy points per game or fewer the last 8 games (although those 8 games were against the worst 8 QB's that shouldn't start for highschools, much less NFL teams)"

What they should do is put a guy on the street to talk to real fans. Occasionally when they find a guy that really has some knowledge they air the discussion between the analyst and the smart guy, then air quick clips of the analyst with all the dumbasses (Giants/Cowboys fans). (I can't wait for one of you fuckers to tell me someone already does this...)

So if AP breaks Dickerson's record does he get put back in the real conversation for MVP or does he have to put the Vikings in the playoffs AND break Dickerson's record for MVP? IMO, if he breaks Dickerson's record he should be MVP unless Brady or Manning throw 17 TD's in the next 2 games.

I stopped by the office today and they had it posted how the Saints are still mathematically alive lol. If they played every game like they did against the Buccs I'd say we have a shot, especially if they let Sean come back early but if not we'll lose to the worst team we meet in the playoffs...

Oh, they were also talking about how Titus Young was PURPOSELY running the wrong routes to sabotage the offense before they benched him. I asked why, "they said because he hates the Lions' coaches". I dunno... who would want a player that would purposely fuck up just to spite a coach? I'd turn Calvin Johnson away if he was doing stupid shit like that...

Making the playoffs is completely out of the Saints control. Your boys could win their next 2 games 90-0 and all that needs to happen is any team in the wildcard hunt to win 1 game.

How the fuck does this game not get flexed out? There was several fucking better games this week to put on MNF. Denver at Baltimore, NYG at Atlanta, GB at Chicago, Colts at Houtson, Pitt at Dal. Instead we get a team that is only "mathematically" alive and the fucking Titans???

I know. I was only pointing out how the HOPE is what some are still clinging too, which is cool. I think the Saints making the playoffs without Sean is about as worthless as the Jets making the playoffs.

That talk about expanding the playoffs to 2 or 4 more teams is just stupid imo. Yeah there's been 2 #6 seeds win it in the last few years but overall it's 3 or 4%? Adding more playoff teams is bogus. I think they have it right as it is. I saw some great points about how the current system helps make the final games of the season more valuable and it keeps junk teams out of the playoffs etc etc. Makes sense to me. Screws up the way the byes currently work if they go adding teams in also.

I thought MNF was not part of the flex schedule. Isn't it only SNF?

And I agree about the playoff schedule. Keep everything in the NFL as is.

It about money, this is their idea to generate even more money. I have never been a fan of the bye system we have currently but I don't like expanding the playoffs either.

Really? They need to fucking change that shit for next year then, because ESPN has had some shit ass games this year. On the flip side, SNF games have been good.

Arent part of the TV rules and the bargaining agreement that every team gets at least 1 MNF every year? Regardless of records?

Thought it was that every team gets at least 1 'spotlight' game, regardless of record. SNF, MNF, and/or maybe even TNF? Could be wrong.

I think it was that every team got to play on Thursday this year. Isn't the reason why MNF gets so many bad games now is because they got on the bad side of the NFL?

That's pretty much the gist of it. When Disney decided the MNF game was going to be on ESPN instead of ABC, that's when the NFL negotiated the SNF deal with NBC and that's where the premiere games each week go. I think sometime in early November the game on SNF can be flexed out for something more interesting but there's rules governing that and I think Fox and CBS have a couple of "vetoes" they can use to avoid having their good games sniped.
