Itlan is just an idiot sometimes. Gore is a birdbrain not a thug, lol.
I just said he had the APPEARANCE of a thug. Kind of like how Eli has the APPEARANCE of a downs patient. And Jay Cutler has the APPEARANCE of a quarterback.

Ohhhh, I see.

lol.

But anyway, Gore will be 30 next season so I wonder how he will hold up. I'm not convinced LeMichael James is a good football player yet. He was great in college, but I'm not sure how he will pan out with the 49ers. Super Bowl fumble will always haunt him unless he has a break out year or something. Kendall Hunter is still in the mix if he gets back healthy, but even with him Im not sure.

I honestly wouldnt mind seeing the Niners draft a RB with one of their first few picks. I would also look for another WR and a NT to replace Sapoaga who is kind of bad. They also need depth on defense so I wouldnt mind them bringing in another safety (Whitner is kind of bad too) and maybe even a corner. It would be awesome to have Revis there. Id probably rather have a 50% Revis than Culliver.

I don't think Gore hitting 30 will be a big deal barring an injury next year. Guy is a beast and tough as nails. RG3? not so much, he got broke twice last year. When I posted the link it was more about the Redskins already putting him on path to recovery for opening day 2 months after surgery. They fucking are the ones he had to have surgery for in the first place. He shouldn't have been playing in that game around half time, yet had shiny trophy in there mind instead.

I think James will see more time on the field but still don't see Gore slowing down. He will get his share and be ready for it. I do think you see a change in the offensive tone with Kaepernick at the helm next year and James will compliment that nicely.

If Kendall Hunter comes back 100% from his achiles injury then he's gonna be the feature back once Gore retires. Dude is a stud. Barring injury, I don't see James passing Hunter any time soon. He's nowhere close to as well rounded.

this is actually funny. Guy with a plate in his ankle and trying to come back from a torn achilles. Good Luck with that.

With everyone healthy, they certainly aren't hurting in the rb position. Some new deep coverage would be nice to see if they still can't get it together.

Hunter is OK. I mean, he has provided the team with a good spark with limited touches but he is by no means going to "replace" Gore. If they think he is going to be their "guy" they are mistaken. The injury is serious, and not only that Im not sure he is going to be a 1000 yard runner right off the get go when Gore retires even if he is healthy.

Dunno man, PFF did an article a bit back when they capped runs at 10 yards to get a better idea of a true YPC without inflation for big runs, and Hunter was tops in the league (albeit with not as many carries as the feature backs)

Is it less funny, more funny, or same funny as a guy tearing a ligament in his knee and coming within 9 yards of breaking the all time rushing record the following season?

I hope more fans and teams use AP as a baseline when judging injury recovery. The tears from people when these guys who are NOT superhuman like him come back too early and ruin their careers will power my hatemobile for years to come.

It is not funny at all.

Lets focus. Think a bit .... put in your mind in the injuries he has sustained not carries for stats. You will find he is done in the NFL.

I actually think Peterson can be used as a baseline. Not so much putting up a career season after that type of injury, but returning as quickly as he did. Welker did it too. I think sports medicine is to the point where they can get guys back onto the field in a short period of time for something that would've been career ending before. I don't necessarily think RG3 will come back better than he was, but it's definitely possible he could be back to start the season. That said, I'd feel a hell of a lot better about it if they sat him the first 4-6 games.

RG3 and his antlers aside I will be interested to see what happens to the players once HGH testing starts up. I can only imagine they will get a grace period to get there shit together.

I don't even know how long HGH is detectable?
