I still think the most productive RB this draft year will be Randle. Which really sucks.
Bengals homer coming in, but I have high hopes for Giovani Bernard. Dude will be an impact player on the Bengals from day one.

Just to chime in on this garbage with Geno, its just that. I'll trust the fact that for 4 years in college he was nothing but the biggest film rat and hardest worker on the team (this from coaches and players like Tavon Austin etc) and never got in any trouble. He might be a bit immature but the knock on his downfield accuracy and other crap I keep reading is downright retarded. He throws one of the best deep balls I have seen in a while. He did this all year, 42 tds to 6 ints.

50 yards in the air, perfect strike vs very good coverage...ball is in the only spot his guy can get it....and this was behind an offensive line that was absolute dogshit for most of the year.

Really?ANYNFL QB? Really?
Yep. Even Tebow could make that throw. The knock on Gino is his stats are padded as often he'd throw a five yard out and Austin would turn it into a homerun. I have no idea how he'll do as an NFL QB, but the odds are already stacked against him due to going to the Jets.

Just checking in. Chargers still drafted Te'o, right?
The more I review the draft, the more I like what the Chargers did. Te'o, Fluker, and Allen all step in and start on day one.

?? There is no safety over the top, pretty sure any NFL QB could do this, and better.
Goddamn you see underthrown balls by about half the QBs in the NFL on a weekly basis that either end up as interceptions or much shorter completions. If a receiver isnt open by 5 yards usually Buttfumble cant even get them the ball in NY.

And the padded stats argument is hilarious. Screen passes and short passes are just as much of a part of the NFL as they are in college. Tom Brady runs a similar high tempo offense with the same kinds of passes. Omg padding stats.....derp. His accuracy of hitting guys in stride also had a huge amount to do with that "stat padding". He also had the highest accuracy rating on deep passes of any college QB.

The biggest hurdle he has is the fact he is on the Jets with a loudmouth dipshit head coach who doesnt give a shit about offensive football in the slightest. The fact that the Jets used none of those higher picks for weapons just shows how organizationally incompetent that place is. I dont know of any offense in the league which is as devoid of talent as the Jets, so in that respect, he is fucked. But to say he isn't incredibly talented is just stupid.

He is in deep shit, doesn't really matter if he is good or not. No line, no good receivers, no running game. Not sure the management is smart enough to sit him for a year either.

He wasn't exactly playing an SEC schedule, so it's hard to say how he'll do. The scouting reports knocked his reading Ds. Read that how you will.

You get underthrown balls in the NFL because your window is shorter and the Ds are far more complex. How many dudes are anywhere near him in that animated GIF you posted?

What you are saying is coming across like a fan, and not an unbiased observer. What you are touting as his stregths are not being supported by reports:

"His biggest problem is that he doesn't know what he doesn't know," one front-office type told Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole earlier in the week. "I'm not sure he knows how to take instruction because he pretty much wouldn't listen or talk to our coaches ? he's talented. He can sling it, he can fit it into tight spots, he can do a lot of things and I think he wants to be good. But you can't tell him anything right now. He's tuned out because he thinks he's got it all down."

A few days later, an NFC scout told ESPNNewYork.com that Smith is "going to have a tough time in New York. Right now, he's coming off as a spoiled, pampered brat.?

?One of his perceived weaknesses is working through adversity,? an AFC personnel executive added after Smith fired his agent.

All this comes a month after Pro Football Weekly's Nolan Nawrocki blasted Smith in his pre-draft scouting report as "Not a student of the game ? Not committed or focused -- marginal work ethic."
The only game I watched him play last year was Texas Tech, and needless to say I wasn't impressed.

lolz at even putting him in the same sentence with Brady.

Don't think it's possible to make a call on how he's going to do just yet. Except he IS on the Jets. I think that might be a fate worse than death.

Yea, 4,200 yards, 71% completions, 42 tds and 6 ints is pretty terrible. Especially considering WVU's defense was 117th this year.
Lets try this again, then. Which team did he do good against that is even close to NFL caliber, EVER? Go look at that link again.

No college quarterback ever faces a defense close to NFL caliber.
While I agree with this, I'd say the speed and coaching of the SEC is far closer to the NFL than many other conferences.

I think Smith had great college stats and he does possess an NFL caliber arm. I think the scouting reports are a cause for concern, but it doesn't seem too far away from those for Cam Newton, too, and he's made the transition nicely. I think he has a better chance than Tebow who was handicapped by the idiot 'ground and pound' Tony Sparano offense and a complete lack of QB coaching. We'll see how the new offensive coaches do in New York.

Eric Crouch, Chris Rix, Cody Pickett and Grant Noel, among others, definitely played an NFL caliber defense. 2001 Miami Hurricanes were fucking loaded (on both sides of the ball).

38 players drafted to the NFL from that team, 17 of them first rounders. Shit, that team could've won a Super Bowl.
