There will literally be no stupid shit for the media to continue obsessing over once the original news story of the signing has died down.

I really don't see it though. What are they going to keep reporting? "Today Tom Brady is still the starting quarterback of the New England Patriots." Well, no shit he is...and no amount of bullshit hype is going to convince anyone that there is a QB competition in New England.

If Tebow actually does line up at tight end or something and can play it worth a shit...well, that is news. It's actually rare to have skill position guys change positions, isn't it? Definitely a different situation than a guard moving over to tackle or something.

The only reason that Belichick is doing this is to finish trolling the shit out of Rex Ryan in what is likely Ryan's last season. Tebow will be useless all season except for the 2 Jets games (which will be blowouts anyway) where he will get to play half a dozen snaps in some sort of half-assed one-off wildcat system made exclusively for him and rack up 10-20 yards per game

Josh McDaniels is the OC and QB coach, also Bellichick has been previously rumored to have a soft spot for old Timmy and had interviewed him as a draft prospect and shit IIRC. Might be the least surprising place for Tebow to have landed actually. How/if they give him snaps will be interesting though.

Pats will turn Tebow into a secret weapon of doom. Besides, now we have Satan AND Jesus on our side! You're all fucked!

If the Patriots win the super bowl this year I will probably have to kill myself. Just wait and see how it gets spun that Tim Tebow inspired the team to finally get back over the hump or something as fucking stupid. Fucking Obama...

Bengals are the AFC team that will make the Super Bowl. So you don't have to worry about that.

Barring a total fucking terrible training camp/preseason, Tebow is #3 QB for Patriots. Giving time and quality mentoring/coaching, Tebow becomes Brady's backup. Mallet is then traded for playmaking WR (or the draft number to get one) that the Patriots have been lacking. Three years from now, Brady retires and the Pats start looking for a new franchise QB. Tebow is either let go, or held on to until a new young QB comes up.

If the experiment fails, the Patriots don't lose anything. His contract has no guarantees, and Patriots are ruthless in cutting players that don't perform. Tebow is desperate and willing to take what he can get for the chance to remain an NFL QB. The Patriots also have a little breathing room in the cap to give this a shot.

Looks like the Ravens are parting ways with Vonta Leach. The only question that remains is whether they will be able to find a trading partner (and hopefully for more than just a sixth rounder), or if Leach ends up getting cut.

The move makes sense, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm actually more upset by Leach's departure than I was when Boldin left.

We need the money to lock down Pitta. We drafted a FB with great potential. Leach is 31 and on dollars-per-snap is one of the most overpaid players in the league at a position that has been massively devalued. He's just not on the field enough to justify his salary at that position, great of a football player as he is the writing was on the wall for a long time. Hopefully he gets some money from someone or we get a trade. But its business, he was a FA not homegrown anyway.

Like I said, it makes perfect sense; but I enjoyed rooting for Leach and I'll miss him. So will Ray Rice. It'd be nice to get at least a fourth rounder out of the whole thing. Locking up Pitta is a grand idea; I just hope Oher doesn't start thinking he deserves Left Tackle money now that the Ravens have a bit more cap relief.

Tebow's there just in case the Patriots have to face the Giants again, since Eli is Tom Brady kryptonite.
