Seahawks were only a 1/2 game behind the Niners last year despite their offense being neutered the first part of the season. They blew out the Niners (granted in Seattle, but still made them look silly) and were a blown-out-knee away from NFC Championship rubber match against the Niners. Now coming into this season they have made aggressive free agent moves to improve on both sides of the ball, still have a ton of draft picks (and a knack for finding gems in latter rounds) and the easier schedule.

I give the NFC-West edge to the Seahawks, but I think the west is going to come down to which coaching staff can figure out the Rams. Fisher had both teams number last year and they will at the very least play spoiler in the division while also possibly competing for a wild card spot.

NFC-West will represent in the Super Bowl again this year.

They'll probably edge out the Bears in NFC Championship Game.

Mike Wallace's cap number in 2013 is only $3.25 million

Here are the full details, per a source with knowledge of the contract.

1. $11 million signing bonus.

2. $1 million base salary in 2013, fully guaranteed.

3. $15 million base salary in 2014, fully guaranteed.

4. $9.85 million base salary in 2015, $3 million of which is guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed next March.

5. $11.45 million base salary in 2016.

6. $11.45 million base salary in 2017.

7. $50,000 workout bonus, each year.

The cap numbers are $3.25 million in 2013, $17.25 million in 2014, $12.1 million in 2015, $13.7 million in 2016, and $13.7 million in 2017.

It adds up to a whopping $27 million in fully guaranteed money. As a practical matter, it's a three-year, $37 million deal, with a year-to-year option on the remainder.

By 2016, the question will become whether Wallace's performance justifies an investment of $11.45 million in cash - especially since cutting him would cost only $4.4 million against the cap.

The low cap number in 2013 gives Miami plenty of additional room to maneuver as the team attempts to improve its performance and generate excitement in South Florida.

That's what happens when you draft poorly, and can't attract FA'S to your team. Had to overpay.

with mighty Matt Cassel leading the Vikings, its a tough bet for sure but Ill take it
Just so its clear, the moment the bears are eliminated from the playoffs is when you have to use the avatar and keep it till the end of the season and vice versa the moment they clinch a spot.

Cassel to the Vikings. Chiefs fans, anything left in this guy? Does he suck or were the Chiefs team as a whole part of the problem? I don't really like him, but I also don't really like Ponder.
Well, he lost his starting job to Brady Quinn, so that should give you some insight. Actually, if the stars are in alignment, his blocking perfect, and the WR routes are uncovered, he should be fine.

Seattle won't be out done by the Niners. Just signed Bennett to a deal. Hell of a pick up there. Will that D give up 200 points this year?

I think the Ravens may get the most compensation picks in the history of the draft in 2014.

Now that I see what the full cap numbers are for the dolphins , I'm in shock . I understand you would have to over pay here and there . But why not balance your cap hits evenly ? I mean , seriously 43 million for 5 players next year ??? Holy shit . We wont be making any major signings next year . On top of that , we might lose some more players . Highly doubt Starks gets tagged again .
