How am I arrogant? I am a fan. And they showed heart coming back in that game. Yeah they lost boo hoo but usually teams down by 10+ in the big dance just crumble. They showed a lot when they didnt and almost ended up stealing the game.

After that playoff run? Ten-twenty mil less on the total contract. If the team had continued on the slide after the regular season Denver game and missed the playoffs, then yeah the team would have held all the chips at the bargaining table. It still hasn't hamstrung the roster though.

They only complete 4 passes to Austin with Vaccaro on him, all out routes (and he gets tackled immediately on those completions). The fastest WR in CFB and a soon to be 1st round pick couldn't get open over the middle field, slants, or seams against him. Ya, that isn't valuable at all in a safety during the spread era. Not being a homer at all about Vaccaro. He is a total shit head and horrible leader but the dude is damn good.

More like 9 years. They were last good in 2002 at the end of the Garcia/Owens era. Good again in 2011. Despite not having won a super bowl since 1994 they still won 10+ games like every year. They had 2 down years in 1999 and 2000 after the young concussion/retirement.
