Given their other on-field needs as well as their stop-being-a-three-ring-circus needs I guess I can't blame the Jets for moving on while they could still get decent compensation. Any word on how many bags of footballs Tebow and Sanchez will be traded for?

Sanchez cant be traded, no team will take him even for free because they'd get stuck with his 9M/year contract for the next 3 years.

Seems like a good move for the Jets. Salary cap, diva ass corner who is never happy and acts like a bitch, two picks and the first rounder is 13th overall. With the Sanchez situation they need a high draft pick and cap room more than they need Revis. I think its also become clear that the "shutdown" corner was a wildly overvalued position too. And they are sending him out of the conference so his production will only benefit them and the conditional pick.

Both teams are retarded. Can't believe the Bucs gave up a 1st, plus gave him all that money. Jets were retarded giving all these players so much damn money to begin with.

You see their payroll? They have to in order to meet the salary cap floor, remember when they were taking away salary for us for spending to much in an uncapped year? Well the Bucs were something like 30M under what the floor was going to be, yet some how that wasn't going to be as big of advantage as what the Cowboys and Redskins did.....

If they're not going to cut him for 2 years doesn't that automatically meet the requirement for the other pick being a 3rd in 2014? Jets getting back a 1st and a 3rd for Revis is a pretty good return in my opinion. There's no question when healthy he is a beast but who knows if he'll play more than 8-10 games a year ever again.

Yeah, obviously the Jets have been a bit mismanaged, but this move is better for them than the Bucs IMO and shows they are probably trying to make smarter moves and improve the team. And again, not just a first rounder but the 13th overall and they've already got the ninth! Not sure what the Jets needs are exactly. You could probably find a franchise LT that high, but they've already got D'brickashaw who's in his prime. Seems like they really need some skill position players too, so an elite WR or TE prospect in the first round maybe? D line? Why don't we have any Jets fans here, their misery is some of the best in the league.

Would it even surprise you with that organization at this point? If there was a better QB class this year I'd say they would do well to draft one this high but it seems like they could do better replacing Revis, maybe reaching a bit at 13 for a WR or TE, or going for a LB or DL guy at both.
