I can't believe I'm on the side of defending Joe Flacco...it's mind boggling. Just giving credit where it's due...also note that this good run has coincided with Cameron being fired as OC. Many people said they were usually his playcalling as a scapegoat for Flacco far too often and now it would be all on Joe. Well...if that's the case, either Caldwell is some genius or they're finally letting Flacco play like he should be allowed to play. The only game they've lost since then was against the Bengals when they didn't play anyone.

The off-season gets shorter and short for me these days. You have the Sr. Bowl then the Combine in the coming month. Then you have free agency and finally the Draft. THen you have draft talk for a month. Then you have to endure June and July, but that's ok because it's summer time. Once August rolls around its time to visit training camp and some pre-season lovin.
Welcome to the grind, by the way.

Well, the regular season disaster against Denver too, but Caldwell literally had a few days to prepare and we were at our lowest point in the season on offense injury wise, most notably our all pro RG being out and throwing the entire line into disarray. And I still think we could have hung in that game if a time out had been taken at the end of the half to set up a scoring play instead of Joe forcing a pass that went for a pick six.

Harbaugh-west definitely rages out more...or he just stands there clenching his jaws. Dunno if I like it or not, there could be a hilarious Denny Green style press conference at some point down the road.

I was just commenting on the level of Flacco cock slobbery
Yes, one man defending an entiresuperbowl teamfrom a board full of haters is the same as 50 fucking Dallas bandwagoners derailing the playoff thread every chance they get to talk about their team that can't even get a wild card in a terrible division. Same thing!

Tony Romo made it to the NFC championship game?
Good point. Jay Cutler is the second coming of Rex Grossman...without the superbowl appearance.

Oh and...

Joe Flacco's record number of playoff road wins is overblown
January 22, 2013By Adam B
After the Baltimore Ravens defeated the New England Patriots on Sunday to advance to Super Bowl XLVII, the media narrative machine kicked into high gear. With the win on the road, Joe Flacco tied Eli Manning as winningest road QB in NFL history. Sunday's AFC Championship triumph was the sixth road win in Flacco's career, and his second this season. Sounds impressive, right? He's a guy built for the bright lights and pressure cooker of the playoffs. When the stakes are highest, he just gets it done, and the playoff road win record is proof of that. Right? Well, not exactly. Let's take a look at the numbers in context.

First, it should be so obvious as to be understood, but let's state it anyway that playoff expansion has increased the number of opportunities to win playoff games. Going back to 1960, 78 different QBs have won road playoff games. Only 32 have won more than one. Of those 32, nine have won multiple road playoff games since 2002. So in the last 11 seasons since the league reorganized into its current four division, two wildcard format, just shy of one third of all QBs to record multiple road playoff wins recorded theirs. And lest you think that the list of QBs to only win one career road playoff game is populated by flotsam and jetsam that lucked into a good matchup one time, that list includes eight Hall of Famers: Troy Aikman, George Blanda, Bob Griese, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Fran Tarkenton, and Johnny Unitas. To put it another way, those eight Hall of Fame QBs, some of the best to ever play the game, have combined for two more road playoff wins than Joe Flacco has in his short five years in the league. Of the 16 QBs since 1960 to win three or more road playoff games, only six played before the current format was adopted, and two of those, John Elway and Brett Favre, played in the previous 12 team playoff format.

Now let's move on to the reformatting of the playoffs in 2002. Between 1990 and 2001, the NFC and AFC were comprised of three divisions, and the winners of those divisions plus three wild card teams made up the playoff field. Since 2002, each conference featured four divisions of four teams each, with the winners of those four divisions plus two wild card teams making the playoffs. The new format made it easier for teams to make the playoffs, increasing the opportunity for teams to make the playoffs, and also increasing the chance for wild card teams to win road playoff games. At the same time, it decreased the number of opportunities for players on very good teams to win road playoff games. Since 2002, 22 different QBs have won road playoff games, and nine of those have won multiple games on the road. Four players have won four or more road playoff games since 2002 (out of the six total since 1960). At the top, of course, are Joe Flacco and Eli Manning, and they're followed by two immortal QB legends, Jake Delhomme and Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez and Jake Delhomme have as many career road playoff wins as Len Dawson. Len Dawson is in the Hall of Fame. Mark Sanchez and Jake Delhomme are Mark Sanchez and Jake Delhomme.

You got Merrith and a few other folks. By next week the Flacco bandwagon will be jam packed

More like Joe Flacco is second coming of Trent Dilfer, but without the Superbowl win

March Madness you fucks. Tennis is also enjoyable. Hopefully the Caps get to the playoffs again. My buddy in DC has season tickets and I want to finally get to a live hockey game.
Having been to a bunch of Triple A hockey games for the Fresno Falcons ( Now gone RIP) and the Tri Cities Americans I can say Hockey is so much better live than on television.

Not quite Denny Green level, but he does say incomprehensible things in press conferences already...

You know what? Fuck the AFC and the Ravens and Bert and may God almighty damn Ray Lewis straight to hell but Famm is right. Dallas may talk shit at precisely the moment they win the NFC and not a moment sooner. Don't blame us dude, ya'll brought this on yourselves.

Now, (fucking dallas), that being said, the Ravens are not allowed to win. Sorry.

Lets not get crazy here...I think his play this year should earn him some more respect, but anyone throwing out those "most road wins" stats has to be honest and point out the fact that the current playoff format can see vastly better wild card teams than the 4 seed or even the 3 seed at times. Not to mention the fact that the main reason he has won as much as he has in the playoffs up until this year was their defense/Ray Rice. I don't think that can really be disputed.

Also to be clear, I think San Fran wins the Super Bowl...but in this playoff of crazy maybe Kaeperbro folds even more than Evil Flacco would, or luck and breaks go the Ravens way as the team of destiny for Ray's last year. I really don't want the Ravens to win, cause I'll never hear the end of it.
