4 of those felonies are from one incident, he was leaving a house as it was being illegally raided for weed, (not his house), an under-cover cop grabbed his car door handle as he was driving away, got dragged 10' before he stopped, they threw the book at him, the charges stuck but he did no time. No weed was found in that 'raid' and the cops didn't have a warrant. He was 19 yrs old. The CC fraud stuff I never heard about till now. Afaik he is a legit, owns 2 contracting companies and is partnered in that nightclub. I did some of the interior work on the place before it opened. He runs ads on TV during the local news for his pest control company. All in all he is a nice guy and a smart business man.

Read somewhere else he was arrested for assaulting a teenage boy at his school a few years back too. Would be nice to have some eyewitness accounts, especially since 3 people were supposedly hurt in the whole thing.

2 crack charges. Who gives a fuck what the third felony was? Dude is a recidivist, without the three strikes law he would have committed another felony as soon as he was released from the burglary charge. Three strike laws may be a bit too heavy handed, but you picked a really awful example to use. If the dude was serving a life for three non-violent burglary offenses, then yeah, it would be a decent example of the three strikes law going too far.
NFL players are pretty much all violent thugs whose football scholarships are the only reason they didn't end up with a criminal record themselves. Assuming Merkins isn't full of shit about the dude, I'm more inclined to side with the club owner until I hear someconsistentwitness accounts.

Small denomination drug possession charges are probably the easiest victim-less crimes to identify. Man the fuck up Joe. Would love to see a snow game for the Super Bowl. It does suck for the fans during the week of the game if it's bitter cold. The winds at the Meadowlands and NYC is brutal this time of year. Not sure what will keep fans occupied that week outside of sight-seeing. If they ever get the Xanadu complex open at the Meadowlands it could give fans things to do, but I think it's like 4 years past it's deadline.
