Man I want to be able to say the Steelers are fucked and won't make the playoffs and are done, but the fuckers are like herpes and you can never get rid of them.
the Steelers, and probably the patriots when Brady is done, will be in a weird position where they'll annually win 6-9 games and never acquire a high enough draft pick to turn shit around.

Fixed, I guess. Who knows. Brady was some back asswards luck. Ben was "only" selected 11th so that's not impossible to trade up into if you think you are getting a sure thing. Of course a sure thing at QB isn't always so easily predicted it seems.

No, they're fucked. That offense was atrocious. Defense might prop them up to 7 wins, but that's wildly optimistic.
Pouncey is over-rated as fuck, but he'd be a serviceable starter if he could stay on the field for 3 straight plays. I fucking hate Pouncey. Out for the year, of course.
Larry Foote is old as dirt but he's a really good defensive playcaller on the field. Out for the year, of course.
Stephens-Howling is out for the year. Good. He looked awful.
They had zero rushing first downs. None even close. I was cautiously optimistic about the line with Pouncey and Decastro playing side by side. Well that shit went away fast and the rest of the game against the vaunted Titans D disabused me of any notions I had that they'd be worth a shit. Guh...thank God for fantasy football.

Considering Geno Atkins has been using Pouncey as his personal practice sled, I struggle to think what it'll be like with the guy behind him. Yikes.

I speak for pretty much every Ravens fan this Monday when I say it made me sick watching him yesterday. Not even just the catches, I've always loved his swagger, his toughness his intensity. Throwing tough blocks downfield for other receivers and runners. Jawing at defenders and riling up the team and the crowd. You can't put a price on that shit to me.
However I'm not pissed. Its over. We are the team of 20/20 hindsight thus far. If we had known Pitta would be out for most of the year or more before preseason, we'd found a way to keep Boldin. If we knew Jacoby would be out for six games we'd have kept Rainey on the roster for RB depth and to be the return man. Hell, I even wish David Reed was back to get his fair catches now, we can't afford to have a starting back and corner fielding kicks.
Now, if Boldin was like in his 20's still and/or he went to an AFC team, it would be twice as bad. I trusted Ozzie on this one since he was unpopular yet correct about Heap and Mason, but he probably pulled the trigger too soon on Boldin. Who knows though its week one. Boldin could blow out his knee any game. Next week maybe Seattle shuts down that offense, or shuts down Boldin and Davis but the run game comes back. Lots of games left to play.
They were $2M apart, they'll miss him if he puts up half of yesterday's effort a few times. It wasn't some sort of "give me Calvin Johnson money" thing...it was like $4M vs $6M.
Ozzie plain fucked up, tbh. He even said they used the savings to sign defensive players...apparently the type who help give up 7 TD passes. They sent Flacco's hot target from their insane postseason run away to save $2M...and yeah, they already miss him. No offense to Flacco but Baltimore has never been the system where you could put a jersey on a walmart greeter and complete passes to him all day long because of the offensive system, that's the Tom Brady thing.
