How much say does Tomlin have in the roster?

I just don't know how much you can coach up OL guys to be more durable. (Or will players into existence, like this year, when they drafted zero OL players, despite most people thinking that QB pressure is the biggest issue they've had for years.)

The Steelers are probably the best-run franchise over the history of the NFL. But their management is mediocre to outright bad, right now.

a bit off topic but holy shit QBR is a retarded stat. I was cruising ESPN's front page and they had QBR's for week 1, Peyton Manning was 5th on the list behind;

1) Luck
2) Dalton
3) Kaepernick
4) Cutler

Yeah, its weird to see Dalton in top 5 for QBR.

That boy is red on the head like a pecker of a dog, but he can sling it. I see Dalton having a great career, at least a very solid career.

I mean, he'll have a career....he'll probably play football for a a couple years....he can at the very least describe a football....I mean he can probably draw one with minimal reference...

Dalton had a crazy good game week 1. Neither of the int's were his fault, and he was decisive in the pocket. An 80 percent completion percentage with a healthy dose of deep and intermediate patterns against an ostensibly top 10 defense is a great game.

I'm was as shocked as anybody that he was actually good instead of good enough, but I'm still tempering my expectations. I want to see him do it consistently.

What do you actually think a career in the nfl is?

He wasn't second best QB in the league good last week.

Right now Andy Dalton has a job as a Quarterback, his career will be in whatever he went to college for if he's lucky.

ok. since you want to put success in the NFL as a career requisite, does Romo have a career? What did Romo go to college for?

What's not serious about it?

EDIT clarify my question some, at what point do you have a career in the NFL

Depends how you define career. When you make enough that you won't have to work after? When you've held the job longer than any other? Or are you just referring to collective time spent at a particular profession? Like "Well in my career as a player".

The proper answer if obviously: Who give a fuck?
