The most interesting part of this shitty NFL season is finding out who stole the mighty wings.
Not too bad. Pretty meaty. A very spicy (by fast food standards) fried chicken breading. Decent size for fast food chicken wings.

NFL rules stipulate that if a player changes his name during an NFL season, he is required to purchase all the remaining inventory of merchandise with the old name that hasn't been sold.

This is the hit he got fined and penalized for. Pretty horse shit.

How is that horse shit? They would call that a flag on anyone.

If you mean flag football horse shit, I would agree but thats what Herr Goodell has given us.

Refs are going to flag anything even remotely questionable now. It sucks but that's the shit sandwich RG has given us.

I don't know about that. Shoulder hit.
And? It's a shoulder hit"targeting the head". It's not just helmet-to-helmet that gets flagged. I don't think he was ACTUALLY targeting the head, looks like he was aiming at the torso. Sadly intent hardly matters now, he hit him in a way they can claim was targeting the head, so he'll get the fine every time.

How is he supposed to hit him, or he just needs to let him catch the ball and score a touchdown?
Do you think the Rerolled NFL thread makes league policy?

The owners just signed on to a $765M settlement to former players who were suing over head injuries. Goodell isn't watering down the game because he has a hard on for watering down the game (I'm not sure if he does, who knows?)...he's doing it because his 32 bosses are not keen on writing big checks to former players because of lingering brain damage.

It's really as simple as that...it's about current and future liability. If injuries in the game were really a problem you'd have the rampant cut blocking on the offensive lines banned alongside the hits to the head. Obviously no one is ever going to get anywhere with a multibillion dollar lawsuit over decades old knee injuries, so it's all good.

That's what you get for making your living as a gladiator. You end up a vegetable or dead when you're done.

how the hell does Coughlin still have a job? Could it be that because of the recent personal loss, they dont wanna pile on the guy? If they lose to freaking Philly this week, he's gotta go. Bring in the new guy, let him make work out the new system for the rest of the year and take it from there. Hell, it couldn't get any worse.

pfft, 9-7 last year and watching the playoffs from the comfort of the home. Ok, I can live with that.
0-4, 2nd worse points differential (only Jacksonville sucks more) and probably losing to Philly on Sunday is more than enough to get you fired. 7 points in last 2 games? Gimme a break

Coughlin's been around long enough (and won the SBs so recently) that he gets the graceful exit plan, ala Andy Reid, where no one will mention what will obviously happen on Black Monday.

To me, the more interesting situation is Eli Manning. The guy has the largest cap hit in the league this season. The entire league.

I can't imagine he goes; I can't imagine that contract doesn't get restructured.
