and just fire coaches it'll be years of shit in store.
You have not been paying attention to the Steelers organization for long...=P
Talent-wise they are not in as bad a shape as it looked early on. They've started plugging in a lot of younger guys on defense and they've really responded. Far better than expected really. It's not Steel Curtain all over again, but it's not the level of despair it looked like it might be. There's things to build on, though letting Keenan Lewis leave was still fucking retarded. He should have been the secondary anchor to start around.
Offensive side they've managed to patchwork together an actual decent line for the first time since like Alan Faneca's prime. Probably not something that will last, but there's some youth there seeming ot hit their stride. Antonio Brown is a stud, if you haven't been paying attention. Top 5ish WR in the league. Leveon Bell could be good for a few years, about all you can ask for out of a RB. Who knows with the Ben, he's been pretty great this year when they can keep him upright(AFC offensive player of the month). He's only 31, if they can keep him healthy more he could have 5 more good years in him.
There's change coming. Old guys like Keisel and Taylor and Clark are not long for this franchise, Polmalu will get less snaps and retire within a couple years. The secondary is really where they're going to be hurting. Folks outside the city probably haven't noticed but the front 7(defensive one) has gotten a
LOTyounger in the last 2 years.
Basically, there's not much
toblow up. They've been forced to change on the fly and in the process get younger a lot already. And it's working for the most part.
And there's a few hundred words wasted.
