Niners and Panthers seem built to go on the road in bad weather at least. Haven't watched too much of Carolina though.

Big penalty on that kick, he held him and pushed him straight out of bounds lol.

The difference between was/were isn't tense its person. Was is singular, were is plural.
Yes, which is exactly what I said. He only uses "was" in the past tense, not "was" and "were". "They was great".

There are tons of normal, even eloquent, commentators. Lewis has no business speaking on TV.

What the fuck? It wasn't holding because he was past the play?

And then yet another BS call to protect the QB. He barely grazed his helmet with his arm.

These quarterback protection penalties are out of control. I say this as someone that wants the Seahawks to win and that was in our favor.

That was one crazy TD play.

"The quarterback had taken off with the ball, therefore there is no penalty for holding"? What the what? Does Ed Hocculi even referee? Offensive coordinators around the world are celebrating. Apparently, you just have to call a QB draw, and your offensive linemen can tackle the opposing team, at-will.

Was that really a TD? Shouldn't he have to get two feet down in order to make a "football" move?

Hocculi is one of the worst refs there is. Outside of the fact that everyone likes him cause he's an old dude with massive arms, he's worthless.

Edit: And while I'm bitching about refs...

I was watching the early games yesterday and realized I'm getting a little sick of the refs in the NFL. Every time there's a decent play, my first reaction is to look to see if there's a flag. I've become conditioned to not even consider a play as "complete" until I see that the little fucking yellow box doesn't pop up on the score thing. I really feel like the refs are ruining the NFL lately with the amount of judgement calls in a game. That may be more to do with the rule changes, or it could just be the refs want to interject more (or they've been told to call more by the league for "safety"). Whatever it is, I feel like the NFL product is suffering. It honestly makes me want to do something else on Sundays.

I think the general consensus is that the officiating has been complete ass this season across the league, noticeably worse than what would be considered a normal year. It's clear that people are beginning to notice and at some point the league is going to have to acknowledge that there's a problem.

I suppose it could also be that they don't give a shit, after the replacement ref debacle. They know they've got the upper hand now.

What I don't understand is that they're still using part time refs. The league isn't the same as it was 50 years ago. It's a fucking multi-billion dollar empire. Hire some motherfucking full time guys.

I didn't even watch the apparently really bad games this week, with the Cardinals/Eagles and 49ers/Rams games. I can't imagine how irritated I'd be if I had.
