Normally when a coach becomes an analyst you like him a little more, Gruden has been the exact opposite for me. I'm afraid he'd try to draft Johnny Manziel at #1. For an offensive 'genius' he had a lot of bad luck with quarterbacks as well.

I really liked Cowher when he spent time as the Chiefs defensive coordinator. I was really hoping when they shit-canned Schottenheimerschmidt they would get him as HC.

John Gruden's problem is he is trying way too hard to be the next John Madden, Super Bowl winning coach turned legendary color commentator. I can just tell that most of the shit he does that annoys everyone is because he is trying too hard.
Also I have no idea why they'd fire Kubiak now just to let Wade Phillips coach. Unless they think Wade Phillips is their HC of the future, in which case here comes a long stretch of irrelevancy for Houston.
