Which is more painful: Watching the Pats get rolled by the Lions, or going to the dentist?

On the radio today Bobby Carpenter said he was on two teams that played the Pats as their third pre-season game and he said both teams treated the game like they were playing in the super bowl

Wow, Matt Flynn 3/6 for 19 yards and 2 interceptions. Enjoy being the worst team in the AFC West this year, Oakland.

I still can't believe he's floating around the league like he is just based on a single game.

Guy has made at least 10 million off that game, but don't worry SD will find a way to lose twice to Oakland.

Yeah, I was just looking up his contract info. He's guaranteed $6.5 million this year. That's fucking crazy. It's literally all based on a single game since he's only started 2 regular season games as far as I can tell, and the first he didn't play all that great (250ish yard, 3 TD's, game losing fumble).

Really, dude hit the fucking lottery.

The whole AFC west has always been a crapshoot. There are times when the Chiefs should never have won a game against Denver or SD, but still managed. And vice versa.

I'm ashamed to say it, but the AFC west is a horrible shell of it's former self. Denver has the only realistic shot of doing anything in the postseason, but I sure wouldn't bet money on that either.

Again, preseason, but it's not just that they are bad, its also that the difference between them and the next worst team (Jaguars? Jets?) seems to be the biggest in the league.

They aren't just the worst, they are worst by the biggest margin.

In fact, they are so bad, I am going to throw this out there now: If no clear #1 QB prospect emerges, I think Oakland trades out of the first pick, and lets Jacksonville/NY/etc.* move up a couple slots to get their preferred QB. (*Not SD, of course.)

Fuck that, if there isn't a clear cut super elite QB on the RG3 and Luck level you take Clowney and never look back. He is the best defensive prospect since at least Charles Woodson, if not ever. Suck for another year and then pick up your QB. You do not trade out of talent on that level.

Flacco just moved up in my QB rankings.

Julius Peppers and Ndamukong Suh disagree and would like to have a word with you Foggy.

You are a moron if you think Suh is even close to Clowney's league as a prospect. Peppers was on a completely different level than Suh as well and I don't think he was as good coming out as Clowney will be. Clowney would have been the first non-Qb taken in the last two drafts, maybe even straight out of HS as well.
