That should be enough.Felix Jones is a good back... but he won't be on the field for more than 4 weeks in the AFC North.

What route are the Lions taking?I will always route for the lions till they win something. Still not sure why, it could growing up watching Barry and loving it, or the whole they haven't won shit.
EDIT Mr T is PG so I went with piss on instead of pity.
If Atkins was on a higher profile team everyone who even casually watches football would know his name. To say he didn't light up games and win defensive possessions basically by himself just reeks of someone who saw stat headlines and said "Yeah that guy is good I guess." Atkins was in the face of the QB almost every single time the QB took a drop last year. Defensive players never have the sex appeal for headlines as offensive players but I have personally always gravitated towards them. I never root for my team to be on defense but my eyes were glued to the line every single snap Atkins was on the field.I don't think you realize just how good Atkins was last year. It was the best showing for an interior defensive lineman in decades; he graded out more than twice as high as the next best DT. To call him solid is like calling AD solid. Clowney is mighty fine looking end, but I'm not buying the once in a generation/ lifetime player either. #1 sure.
When I was writing my hate-filled posts wishing horrible injuries and death on every team at the end of last season I closed the Ravens/Bengals entry with "And Geno Atkins will join the Steelers."If Atkins was on a higher profile team everyone who even casually watches football would know his name.
Y u no Browns? When I was writing my hate-filled posts wishing horrible injuries and death on every team at the end of last season I closed the Ravens/Bengals entry with "And Geno Atkins will join the Steelers."
In a post that wished Ray Ray murdered at the 50 yard line, Dalton's career ended, Ray Rice beaten in to a coma, and BenJarvis Green-Ellis to gay marry Antonio Rogers-Cromarte and shatter both femurs under the weight of the name on his jersey.
The only thing that got a reaction was the "And Geno Atkins will join the Steelers." part. Tea said it was going too far.
Atkins is the best DT in the NFL.
Because it was about the Ravens/Bengals game that week. There was a Browns one.Y u no Browns?
Umm, no. I watched Bengals games and the guy is good and was rated as being more un-tradeable than Patrick Willis for fucks sake. I was just saying Clowney could have his type of impact on the field as he grows into his role on whichever team he lands on. And your whole post just highlights my point. Atkins is a great pro bowl player but he isnt getting the headlines he deserves because he plays for the Bengals. Clowney is going to play for the Jags or some shit team and also will not get the headlines he deserves unless he decapitates Jay Cutler and ends the season with 459 sacks. If Atkins was on a higher profile team everyone who even casually watches football would know his name. Sounds a lot like the present day Vikings.Just for the record, I hope the Lions never win another game as long as they exist as a team for robbing us of the pleasure of possibly watching Barry Sanders(the greatest pure runner in NFL history) play for several more years. Sanders had to take the only real option, retirement, over remaining with a team that was making no real attempt to build a winning team at the time, and help him at all. The Lions would have consistently been the worst team in the league through most of the 90s if it weren't for Barry. Thanks to him they actually made the playoffs a few times.
tl;dr fuck the Lions
He doesnt "light up" games. He isnt fucking Lawrence Taylor. He plays the position extremely well, made pro bowls and gets a lot of respect around the league now. But by the very nature of his position, he isnt in a place where he CAN take all the attention away from other skill position players etc. And he plays for the Bengals.Jesus, do you have reverse mirrors, Jozu? I'm afraid you might cause a horrible accident with such furious backpedaling. Atkins went from a "solid player who doesn't light up games" to a great pro bowl player who doesn't get the attention he deserves.
Frankly, the best tackle in the NFL should be FLATTERED that he was mentioned in the same breath as a college player famous for one tackle in a bowl game where he managed 3 total! The fact I even mentioned the guy with regards to Clowney is praise enough.
Oh Cmon. Yeah Atkins is playing at a much higher level against much better competition, but Clowney does play in the SEC. And he also has another year to build on his craft and get even better before entering the league.Frankly, the best tackle in the NFL should be FLATTERED that he was mentioned in the same breath as a college player famous for one tackle in a bowl game where he managed 3 total!
