Depending on if the herniated disc is rubbing against a motor nerve or not (which it seems it is - hence why he was limping as he injured his back) you can play through it if the pain is manageable. Romo is a tough SOB but sounds like it was too much even for him, and he probably wouldn't have been able to protect himself from further injury limping around like that.

Also, it doesn't matter who the Cowboys have as a DC when they are on their 19th defensive linemen (literally, not a joke), missing the best coverage linebacker in the game, and playing rookies at safety and nickle and dime coverage. Kiffin should still retire, but he doesn't have healthy NFL caliber players outside of Scandrick and Church. Ware and Hatcher are both playing through nerve and back issues and are shells of their selves from earlier in the year. They lost Anthony Spencer, Ratliff, and Tyrone Crawford after the draft but before the season - the whole season started off fucked on defense.

It matters next year when they will build it up again, guy was good in the NFL a fucking long time ago, and has been a failure ever since even on the college level.

Need to kick that dusty bitch to the curb.

Are you talking about the DC or the whole damn team?

8) Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys
Everyone was buzzing about the possibility that the Cowboys would clean house if they didn't make the playoffs. Then Tony Romo led them back against Washington last week, turning Sunday's game against the Eagles into a winner-take-all NFC East showdown.

In many ways, Garrett is the perfect coach for Jerry Jones, who wants to be owner, general manager, director of personnel and head coach -- and probably wants to call plays, as well. No coach understands and tolerates Jones better. Jones likely won't find a better partnership if he makes a change.
This is exactly why Jerry Jones should get hit by a bus. The fans need to just pitchfork that old bastard. He has been an embarrassment since he called out Jimmy Johnson after he won the superbowl saying he won those superbowls ,and Jimmy was just a pawn of his.

Didn't have to get past the QB position to realize the selection was a joke yet again this year. If they're doing 3 from each conference, Ben and Dalton are both more deserving than Brady in the AFC, and Foles and Romo are both more deserving than Newton in the NFC.

But its just the worthless pro bowl and I'm already done caring.

I don't *think* they're doing 3 from each, just how it worked out. They're ignoring conferences this year.

NFC I'm not sure. Cam's rushing(500+ yards and 6td) and his team winning probably puts him ahead of Romo and with Foles it's just a matter of games played I guess.

AFC the Ben has to be stellar to make it ever again, couple rape charges tend to taint you in people's eyes. Dalton should be ahead of Brady, but it's Brady.

Why you gotta rape people, Ben? Is it REALLY that hard to find people who want to have sex with you? Jesus Christ, dude.

Kind of surprised Yanda got voted in this year. Sometimes it seems like guys get the nod on their career more than their year.

Philip Rivers, Chargers
I gotta admit, I was so wrong on him. I thought Rivers was flat out done, but instead McCoy and Whisenhunt have turned his career around.

I'm not even salty about the lack of Packers players on the Pro Bowl. All the good names spent significant time on the injury report, except Lacy, who is just a rookie. (Lacy and most of the usual suspects on the Packers are alternates, which seems right.)

Redskins bitching time. I can't figure out why Morris was passed up again this year. 2nd in rushing his rookie year, and he was in the top 3 this season up until about 2 weeks ago (probably around when the voting finished). He's behind a fucking terrible line and is still top 5 in rushing.

Which running back is he better than on that list? Besides none of them, he had fewer carries, more fumbles and only caught 5 passes.
