Did you know that Cooper Rush was an undrafted free agent?! Maybe if Dallas and the 49ers meet in the NFC championship, they'll be able to inform us in the broadcast that both he and Purdy were not highly touted picks coming out of college.

People say that, but wasn't the "Trey Lance faceplant" only because they hit on Brock Purdy? Do people think they would have benched and traded him if they didn't have a better option? Would it be better of they Rob Johnson'd him in as the starter anyways?

Yeah the Trey Lance experiment never got to play out. He might have sucked, but we never actually got to see him play. Brock Purdy falling in their lap and suddenly playing better than basically any rookie ever is not something anyone expected but now that he's here you gotta roll with it.

I would never wish injury on another player.

Of course there is a possibility he gets hurt, obviously the 49ers have had injury problems. Maybe they will get lucky and see a healthy year.
